Nautical MDS Thank You

Hello Stampers! TGIF! So glad today is Friday, I've been waiting for it! So since I've installed the My Digital Studio (MDS) onto my computer, I've been playing with it as much as I can.  I helped my BFF create some baby shower invitations using the Hello, World digital suite. It's so cute!  I created this thank you card using a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog, a past one.  I wasn't able to complete it in time but I like the sketch. I'm still learning a lot about MDS and how to create various projects, but I'm having fun!  I even made my own blog header, did you notice it?  How about you, are you using MDS?  Any tips or tricks to offer?

Hope you have a fabulous Friday!  Until next time!

Good for you...

Welcome back Stampers!  Happy hump day Wednesday! I have a fun new card creation to share with you today.  I combined two blog challenges to create this card.  I used the soon to be retired Perfectly Preserved stamp set with the coordinating Cannery Set Framelits Dies. Such a fun set and I can't believe I haven't used it more often.  Even though it will be retired, I will keep this stamp set and matching Framelits Dies in my favorites collection.

There's a lot going on with this card but I love the way it came out. The base of the card is Old Olive, layered with Real Red card stock and the DSP is from Summer Smooches.  I punched out the corners with the scallop trim border and decorated it with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon then used the 3/16" Old Olive Brights Brads. The Banner Greetings stamped in Old Olive looks great against the Night of Navy card stock. I used the Night of Navy DSP for the jar lid.

You can check out the creations for the Hand Stamped Sentiments here and the Nacho Average Challenges here.  Between the both blogs, there is so much inspiration.

So last night I started watching the new season of Extreme Weight Loss and the it was so inspirational and emotional. It's amazing how much weight the participants lost in one year, all from exercise and eating better and right.  Wow, to see the transformations was amazing! Going to dust off my Zumba discs and my Wii and get back to exercising again. At least start off by exercising once a week and slowly adding more days.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great day! Until next time.

Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday to you.  I'm back with another creation featuring the Wildflower Meadow background stamp set. I used the Black Magic technique with it. I used our blender pens with reinkers since our Watercolor pencils are being retired. It's been awhile since I used this technique, but I'll be getting lots of practice as I have signed up for a techniques swap for convention featuring this technique. Have you tried this technique? If so, let me know what you think.

This is the sketch I used for my card. It's the current challenge at the Create with Connie and Mary blog and I love the banner! The base of my card is Raspberry Ripple and the Summer Starfruit DSP is from the Patio Party DSP. The Gumball Green DSP is from Epic Day This & That.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great Tuesday! Until next time.

More Sneak Peeks...

Hello Stampers.  Happy Monday. If you have the day off today for Memorial Day, hope you are having a great Monday. I spent part of the weekend working on some swaps for my sideline group.  We were to use new stamp sets from the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog so I have some sneak peeks for you today.

For the first card, I used a new background stamp set called Wildflower Meadow, which is gorgeous!  And it coordinates with an embossing folder also called Wildflower Meadow. Such a great combination! I didn't use the entire background, just part of it.  Can you see the embossed part of the card? Isn't cool! So many possibilities with this combo.

My color combo for this card was Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black. I layered the Melon Mambo with the Pumpkin Pie Polka Dot DSP. I also used a new Hostess stamp set called Banner Greetings. I know it will get used a lot. The sentiment reads "Thankful for you". A little bling on the flowers adds a nice touch.

This card is very different from the other one, but I love the simplicity of it. I wanted the banners to be the focus of the card. I paired Banner Greetings with the Hearts of Flutter banner stamp set. So happy this stamp set is still in the new catalog! I used the similar color combo from the card above, except I added Pacific Point.

Two different cards using similar color combo with new stamp sets. Did I tell you the new Annual Catalog goes live next Friday, May 31st at Noon (MT). I can't wait! Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time.

Itty Bitty Bits

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your Memorial Day weekend is going well.

We have a fun new sketch for you at Sunday Stamps this week and Steph is our hostess. We love to see what you create so come and join us.

Ever start creating a card and before you keep adding layers to it? Well, that's what happen to me while I was creating this card but I love the way it came out. I love the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP from the current Spring Catalog and I can't believe it will come to an end on May 31st. It's a bright and cheerful card.

When I saw Steph's sketch I wanted to try it with a technique called microscoping. I participated in a techniques swap in the past and this was one of the technique's featured. It works great with the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set (which will also be retiring). Have you tried any new techniques lately?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a fun day.  Until next time.

Button Buddies & Banner Greetings

Hello Stampers!  Happy Sunday Tuesday.  Well Stampers, my apologies for the delayed post, another weekend without internet access.  But I must say that with everything going on right now in our city, our state, our nation, not having internet access is the least of my worries.

We have a fun color challenge this week at Sunday Stamps and Hayley is our hostess.  A bright and cheerful color combo. Make sure you check out the creations from my fellow designers and of course we hope you have a chance to play along with us.

I love using the Button Buddies stamp set and can't believe it will already be retired. I especially love using our designer buttons with it  But I can tell you that the new redesigned buttons coming up in the new annual catalog are beautiful.  I did use a new hostess stamp set, Banner Greetings-which I love!  I know I'll be using it a lot.  Hard to tell in the photo but the sentiment reads "Thankful for you".

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your week is great.  Until next time.

New Sunday Stamps Sketch

Hello fellow Stampers! Happy Sunday to you. Joan is our hostess this week at Sunday Stamps and she has a fun new sketch for us.  Hope you have a chance to come and play with us this week, remember to have fun with the sketch.  Come check out the designs from my fellow designers.

I'm still reviewing the retired items list from the current Annual catalog. My card has a mix of new, continued and soon to be retired items.

The new item is the washi tape. Did you know you can stamp on it? Yes you can! I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes with black StazOn. Cool huh! Try it out.

The continued items are the Apothecary Accents and Labels Collection framelits, Layered Labels and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock, Victoria crochet trim and the pearl basic jewels.

The soon to be retired items are the Baja Breeze cardstock, the Subtles & Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stacks (all of the DSP packs will be retired), the Aviary stamp set and the designer builder brads from the current Spring catalog. Oh and I almost forgot, the color spritzer tool! Gotta make room for all the new stuff. Which retired items are you going to miss.

So here is the cool sketch from Joan.  Hope you can join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a fabulous Sunday.

A Round Array...K is for...

Hello Stampers!  Happy Tuesday! How's your week going?  I have a new creation to share with you today.  Last night I attended our sideline Shoebox Swap.  The theme for our cards was using new stamp sets from the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.

I got the inspiration for my card from Christy Fulk, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator. She created this card using the A Round Array set and I asked her if I could CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it for my meeting.  I changed mine up a bit but similar concept.  Thanks Christy for allowing me to CASE it, I love it!

I had to create 21 of these cards. The base of the card is Pool Party layered with Basic Gray. I created another layer by using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder on Daffodil Delight with the Epic Day This and That DSP.  I love the all the colors in that collection.  The K is for Kindness sentiment is popped up with a stamping dimensional. Glad Gumball Green will still be around for another year because the 3/8 stitched satin ribbon is lovely!

Oh my gosh, did you ever see the movie, "Crazy, Stupid, Love"? I LOVE it! I can watch it over and over!  And Ryan Gosling is super hot in it! What do you think? LOL.

Anyhow, thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time.

Sunday Stamps gold!

Hello Stampers! Hope your weekend going well.  We have a great new color challenge at Sunday Stamps this week.  Gold isn't always for the winter holidays or anniversaries. This color challenge definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. Tara is our hostess this week so make sure you check out the other Design Team creations. Play along with us if you have a chance, we love to see what you create.

I used the soon to be retired Easy Events stamp set.  Such a versatile stamp set.  I also used the Pretty in Pink DSP from the Subtles color family. I embossed the happy birthday stamp with gold embossing powder onto the Pretty in Pink cardstock. I kept this card simple, converting an envelope into a pocket.

With the upcoming new Annual Catalog just weeks away, have to make room for new items. You can see the retired stamp sets list here and the retired accessories here.  You can shop my online store 24/7.

Thanks for stopping today. Until next time.

Sneak Peek...New Hostess Set

Hello Stampers!  Hope your week is going great!  I'm so excited to share with you tonight a sneak peek of an upcoming hostess stamp set, Banner Greetings. I'm going to love this set!  It'll be featured in the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog. As I have mentioned before, banners continue to be popular. When I saw this sentiment I couldn't wait to pair it with the current Make a Cake stamp set!

I saw this sketch from The Paper Players and I wanted to play along.  This is such a cute sketch! Make sure you check out the creations from the design team members. I think I will use it for other cards.

As I was creating this card I was thinking of my dear cousin Zoraima, she and her husband are expecting their second child and they are having a girl! Congrats cousin!  They currently live in Seoul but will be coming home for the summer soon. I hope she likes it.

The base of my card is Pink Pirouette and I layered it with Primose Petals. The Pretty In Pink DSP is from the Subtles paper stack. I love pairing Early Espresso with any of our pinks.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a fantastic Friday! Until next time.
