Fab Groovy Love

Happy Wednesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well.  We had a wonderful time in Tucson/Tubac over the weekend. It's amazing how quickly the weekend goes. There were a couple of time where Mother Nature inspired me to get back to creating. You know when you get that "itch to create?"

The fabulous designers over at the Fab Friday Stampin Challenge blog inspired me to once again create with a wonderful color challenge.  At first I was having a mental block as far as to how design my I looked through the current Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and the sample on page 129 caught my eye.  I've been wanting to ink up stamp sets that are being retired, so I picked up Groovy Love. This is another stamp set that I have not inked up enough.  It coordinates with our Sweetheart punch.

This is actually a very soft color combo and you can see how the Designers created such beautiful creations with this combo. You should play along too!

Stamp Sets: Groovy Love and Work of Art
Ink: Crumb Cake, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Color Me Irresistible Speciality DSP
Other: Stamping Sponges, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Stampin' Dimensionals
I didn't have any Lost Lagoon card stock and then I realized I had the Color Me Irresistible Speciality DSP so I made my own.  I sponged with Lost Lagoon ink. Very cool, why didn't I use it before? LOL.

I really like my final result. Now I need to decide who I should give this card to. Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.

Di's Country INKers Blog Hop

Happy Sunday Stampers!  Hope your weekend is going great!  I'm in Tubac, Arizona visiting family. Tubac is just south of Tucson and it's a very artistic town, lots of history here.  It's very beautiful here. So our theme for our blog hop this month is retiring products from the Annual and Occasions Catalogs.  It's sad to see all the stamp sets and accessories that are retiring, but room has to be made for all the new stamp sets and accessories in the catalog.  If you're just arriving here, you just came from Barb's blog.  Wasn't her creation beautiful?

I created my card following the sketch from Match the Sketch Blog Challenge. I recently came across their blog and fell in love with their great sketches.  So many ways to use the sketch. Make sure you check out their blog for more inspiration.

As you know, every two years we get new In-Colors introduced.  Blackberry Bliss one of colors from the 2014-2016 In-Color collection has been one my favorite colors. Also in the collection is Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist. I paired Blackberry Bliss with Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The stamp sets I used are "A Dozen Thoughts" and "Six-Sided Sampler". The Hexagon punch is also retiring, which coordinates with Six-Sided Sampler. The Candy Dots are also retiring, which I use those all the time. The DSP is from the Occasions catalog, the Love Blossoms DSP Stack, which is still available to order but will not be in the Annual Catalog. The ribbon has been retired for some time, which apparently I forgot about that, because obviously, I still have a lot of it, lol. Told you it was my favorite color.

Up next is Crystal, she always has the cutest creations!

"Tap Tap Tap", Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Stampers! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I recently started hiking and I've come to really enjoy it. Yesterday I hiked Echo Canyon Trail at Camelback Mountain with my sisters. It was a great challenge and we conquered it. Such an amazing feeling to complete it.

It's been a long time since I've blogged, let alone create something. I recently viewed our upcoming Stampin' Up! Annual catalog and I LOVE IT!  So many great stamp sets and accessories! Can't wait to place my preorder. For course, when new items are coming, room has to be made for them, hence our retired stamp sets and accessories has been released. Realizing how many items are retiring, it gave me a creative push to use my stuff!

The Designers over at the Fab Friday Blog Challenge have a great sketch that inspired me to create something! I can definitely see myself using this sketch over and over. Make sure to check out their blog for more inspiration with this sketch.

Here is how the sketch inspired me:

The used the stamp set called "Tap Tap Tap" which is being retired. I feel sad because I didn't ink it up that much and I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it or not. I'm really bummed  to say goodbye to Blackberry Bliss, it's been one of my favorite In-Colors. In fact, it was the main color I used for my wedding. I will definitely keep this color around. My color combo is Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron. I used the clear Wink of Stella to watercolor the type writer. It was a fun technique, can't wait to try it again.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.

March Blog Hop

Welcome Stampers! It's time for another blog hop!  So excited that it's March 1st!  Spring is near, it's my birthday month and everything starts blooming!  Let's hope my creativity starts blooming as well. The theme for our blog hop this month is CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the Catty, in this case, our Annual Catalog or the Occasions Catalog. If you are just stopping by, you just arrived from Barb's awesome blog. Great project right?

I decided to CASE our Annual Catalog, using the stamp set "You've Got This". The sample is on page 113. I used our new Whisper White Thick Cardstock, OMG perfect for cards like this! If you haven't tried it, I would suggest you do. I was able to crank out four cards with this simple design.

Card Stock: Whisper White Thick Cardstock
Inks: Sahara Sand, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron
Other: Regals Designer Buttons, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Banner Triple Punch

Up next is Crystal, can't wait to see what she creates for this blog hop.

Di's Country INKers Blog Hop

Hello Stampers!  Welcome to another edition of Di's Country INKers Blog Hop! You can guess the theme of our blog hop this month.  Can't believe it is already February 1st!  If you are just stopping by, you just left Barb's blog and saw her awesome project. Isn't it adorable?

I created a very simple project for today's blog hop.  It's a candy holder. If your loved one loves chocolate for Valentine's Day, this is a cute way to give them chocolate.

Up next is Crystal, can't wait to see what she has in store for us!

New 2016 Catalogs!

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  Hope the new year is off to a great start for you!  So excited for today!  Our new 2016 Stampin' Up! Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs go live today!  Meaning you can now order the awesome new stamp sets and accessories from the Occasions Catalog and you can earn FREE products!  How cool is that!  If you don't currently have a demonstrator that you order from, let me know and I'll send you a catalog.

This card features the stamp set Number of Years with the coordinating Large Numbers Framelits Dies.  You can get both as a bundle and save 15% off. Did you see the card I made for our blog hop January 1st? This is the same stamp set and framelits I used on that card.

Now for the inside of my card, it features the new Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies. These are so much FUN!  They will be a fun addition to your handmade birthday cards!  Two different dies come in the package and they are also available in French. I made this card for a good friend who is celebrating her 36th Birthday. I hope she likes it.

And this card features two stamp sets only available in the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) catalog. The sweet little chick is from the Honeycomb Happiness set and the sentiments are from Hello set. I paper-pieced the chick with DSP that is only available in the SAB catalog, it's called Perfectly Artistic DSP. The super cute honeycomb embellishments is available in the Occasions catalog. You get 12 embellishments in three different colors.

That's all I have for now, I'm happy to be creating again and sharing with you all. Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

Happy 2016!

Happy New Year Friends! Hope 2015 was a good year for you. I'm excited for this fresh beginning!  Looking forward to creating and sharing more in 2016.  One of my goals for the new year is to send out more cards! Sounds easy enough, but somehow it doesn't end up being that way.  Anyhow, it's the first of January, which means it's time for another fun blog hop with my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators with Di's Country INKers!  As you can see, the theme is new items from the 2016 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs, which goes live on January 5th, 2016. Both catalogs are awesome!

I created a card to ring in the new year! I had this idea in my head and I'm glad it turned out good. The numbers are part of a bundle, you get the Number of Years Stamp Set and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. I love this bundle and have so many ideas for cards and scrapbook pages. The hello sentiment is from a limited-time Sale-a-Bration stamp set called "Hello". It's a set of nine stamps. Love the font of it. I inked in Cucumber Crush. The numbers were die cut in Gold Glimmer Paper and they are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I brushed the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in clear onto the Hello sentiment, love the way it adds a touch of glitter. You definitely want to get one to play with. I also decorated the inside of my card, because 2016 is going to be an awesome year!

Up next is our awesome leader and my amazing Upline Diana Gibbs. She is such an inspiration to me and is always so helpful. Love her project.
