Dia De Los Muertos Greeting Card

Welcome Crafty Friends!  Welcome to our Dia de Los Muertos Crafty Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing line up!  Make sure you visit all the blogs for some great inspiration!

Tons of meaningful projects to make that celebrate Dia de los Muertos!

I'm a paper crafter and I created a handmade greeting card featuring a Dia de Los Muertos couple. The technique I used with my background paper is called the starburst technique. Great technique to highlight your favorite background paper. The background paper is from Crafty Chica Papers and the series is called Mojito Papers. I've had these papers for awhile and always happy to use them during this time of year. I love Dia de los Muertos and here in Phoenix, Arizona there are lots of festivals and events to celebrate the passing of our loved ones.

Di's Country INKers Blog Hop

Hello Stampers! Welcome back to another fun blog hop featuring my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We are all part of Diana Gibb's Country INKers group. If you are just arriving, wasn't Barb's creation awesome! As always, her blog buttons are super cute!

The inspiration for my card came from Wicked, the musical. It is currently playing at the ASU Gammage Auditorium in Tempe, AZ. I've seen the play before and loved it!

I CASE'd the beautiful card from Jennifer Timko and her fabulous creation using the partial die cut word border tutorial. This was a fun card to make. Definitely practice on scrap paper first before you start cutting your DSP. Can you imagine all the fun cards you can make with the Little Letters Thinlits? Might be a good idea to have a second set on hand for extra letters. Have you tried this technique before?

Up next is Crystal, can't wait to see what great project she has in store for us! Make sure to leave some comments on everyone's blogs.

Nacho Tuesday!

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! I'm back to creating with my fellow Nacho Average Challenge Designers. Feels good to create again. We have a fun color challenge for you this week, we hope you will join us. Remember the link closes on Sunday, 11:59 pm MST.

I inked up a new stamp set from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog called You've Got This. I spritzed water onto the stamp before I stamped it onto the watercolor paper. Even though these colors remind of Halloween, I wanted to use them in a different way. Really like how it turned out.

Below are all the supplies I used to create my card. Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

Di's Country INKers September Blog Hop

Hello friends! Hope your week is off to a great start!  Can you believe it's September 1st! Our theme this month is Fall and Back to School. It's still hot here in Phoenix, Arizona, we're still getting rain showers here and there. I am looking forward to Fall and cooler temps.

If you're just arriving here, wasn't Barb's creation cute! She also created our awesome blog hop buttons. She always does amazing work. Thank you Barb.

So for my creation today, I made a fall theme card, I combined two different stamp sets for my card and kept the color neutral. I followed the tutorial for a double matted frame from Splitcoast Stampers.  You can find the tutorial here

Up next is Crystal.  Can't wait to see what cute project she has created for our theme.

If you get lost, don't worry, below are the links to everyone's blogs. Comments are always appreciated.

Di's Country INKers Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. It's been a long time since I've blogged, let alone create something with my stamps. Life just got really crazy with a temporary job I took on, but I don't want to be negative and bore you with those details. It's a new month and time to turn a new leaf. And since it is a new month, it's time for another blog hop with my fellow Di's Country INKers. The theme this month is summertime.

What did you think of the cute creation from Susan and Ashley? Cute huh!

Di's Country INKers June Blog Hop

Hello Stampers!  Welcome to another edition of Di's Country INKers Blog Hop! Can't believe it is already June 1st!  Our theme this month is Father's Day.  If you are just stopping by, wasn't Barb's creation cute!

I created a very simple card as I've recently started redoing my studio and my stamping supplies are all over the place and not organized at all.  While I was going through my supplies, I came across many projects I have not yet completed. In my case, several My Paper Pumpkin projects. My project is from the Hey, Man kit.

Up next is the talented Crystal. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us this month.

Nacho Thanks...In Colors!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is off to a great start!  Mine is as I'm finally back sharing a new Nacho Average Challenge creation.  Yes, it has been a long time!  It feels good to create and share with you all. I hope you will join us and create with us.

For my creation, I combined old with new. The stamp set is one that was featured during Sale-A-Bration this year and no longer available. However, using one of the brushstroke stamp from Work of Art, I used our NEW Stampin' Up! In-Colors for 2015-2017. Love the clever names of our colors.

In case you haven't heard what the colors are, from left to right, we have Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Top Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. Aren't those great titles! But for Tip Top Taupe, they all make me hungry!  Who doesn't want some Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush, especially during the summer months! For dessert, you can have a Mint Macaron! Which color is going to be your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time!

Di's Country INKers May Blog Hop

Hello Friends!  Welcome to another edition of Di's Country INKers blog hop! The theme for this month is Mother's Day! If you are just stopping by, you have arrived from Barb's blog. Isn't her project pretty!

I created a very simple Mother's Day card. I needed to create a simple and quick card as I have several deadlines this week.

Up next is Crystal! Can't wait to see what she created.

Nacho Balloons

Good morning Stampers! Hope your week is going well.  We have a new Nacho Sketch  to inspire you this week, we hope you will join us and create with us this week. Make sure you check out our main blog so you can see what my fellow designers created.

Below is how the sketch inspired me:

I did some masking on my balloons, forgot how easy that technique is. The colors I used are Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Tangelo Twist. The small strips of DSP are from the Birthday Bash Speciality DSP.

I also want to apologize to you, my fellow blog readers. I haven't been as active posting on the blog as I would like to be.  Continuing to balance everything going on right now in my life such as planning my wedding and balancing two jobs, on top of my personal life. My creativity is taking a hit and I thank you for your patience. My commitment to the blog for now is to post on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As things get completed, I know I will come back and post more often.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.

Di's Country INKers April Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to another edition of Di's Country INKers blog hop! Can't believe it is already April 1st-that is no joke! This year is going by fast. If you are just stopping by, you just finished visiting Barb's Blog, wasn't her project super cute! And did you see our cute blog buttons for this month's theme? Adorable. No need to guess what our theme is this month.

So for my project today, I once again created a simple card, seems to my MO lately. But sometimes simple is good. The stamp set is Love is Kindness from the Occasions Catalog. I finally inked it up, this was a stamp set we got at Spring Fling back in February, but I was unable to attend because I was sick. I will definitely be inking it up more.

Up next is Crystal.  Can't wait to see what beautiful project she has in store for us.

If you get lost, don't worry, below are all the links to everyone's blogs. Please show them some blog love and leave them some nice comments. Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

'Tis The Season Designer

Happy Thursday Stampers! Hope your week is going well.

I'm so happy to share that I've been invited to join the designers at 'Tis The Season blog challenge. It's Christmas year round and we will be making Christmas card throughout the year based on different challenges. Come check us out and create with us. Our challenge runs for Thursday to the following Tuesday. This is a great way to get a head start on your Christmas cards instead of stressing out at the last minute, like me.

Below is how the photo inspired me:

Simple card to kick off my holiday card-making skills.  Hard to see that the sentiment is embossed with gold embossing powder. Feel like I'm a bit rusty with Christmas cards, but I know the inspiration will kick in. Hope you will join us and creating along side us. Have a great week and weekend! Until next time.

Di's Country INKers March Blog Hop

Hello Stampers!  Happy March 1st and welcome to another blog hop featuring Stampin' Up! demonstrators with Di's Country INKers! So glad you stopped by today.  Wasn't Barb's project adorable! In case you are wondering our theme for this month is Easter!

Using our gift box punch board, I created several small boxes that I could decorate to spell out "Happy Easter" to use as my Easter decor.  They remind of the wooden alphabet blocks from back in the day. This was a fun project for me to create.

Up next is Crystal, can't wait to see what awesome project she has in store for us.

Nacho...Stache

Hello Stampers! It's Tuesday, which you know what that means, right? It's Nacho Tuesday and that means we have a new Nacho challenge. This week we have a color challenge for you to play along with us. Make sure you check out our blog for inspiration with this color combo.

Initially, this color combo had me stumped. I punch out some bows with the bow builder punch then, sponged the IrresistiblyYours DSP, which is featured in the current SAB catalog.  I really like this DSP. Then I got stuck, so I kept it simple. Does that ever happen to you?

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

Nacho Dahlias

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! We have a fun new Nacho sketch to inspire you this week. Hopefully it will inspire you to create with us. Make sure you check out our blog for more inspiration with this sketch.

I also was inspired by the color combo over at Create with Connie and Mary. Yellow and Black are two of my favorite combos.

Here is how I combined both challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great week.
