Fun Fold Swap!

Hello Stampers! Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well!  For the Catalog Premier event that Stampin' Up! hosted in Mesa, I hosted an organized swap with my fellow Arizona demos.  As I sat down to create my card, I came across the new challenge at the Friday Mashup and I knew I hit gold!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with "Polka Dots".
  2. Create a project with a "Fun Fold".
  3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Fun Fold project with some Polka Dots"!
Ready to see what I created following the Friday Mashup challenge? You probably won't be surprised because I created another interlocking framelits card. I also decorated the inside of my card. I'm getting lots of ideas of different ways to use this fun fold! Hmm...with so many new stamp sets in the upcoming catalog, don't be surprised if I keep using this style of card again.

I created 12 of these beauties! I love the way they came out! Can you guess what colors I used? Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Strawberry Slush, lol.

Come back tomorrow when I share my creation for our May Blog Hop with Di's Country INKers. My second blog hop!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time!

Nacho...Create with Connie & Mary

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  We have a fun new sketch for you today at Nacho Average Challenges, we hope it will inspire you to create with us this week.

I also used the current color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary, they always have great color combos and sketches.

This is the end result of combining both challenges:

I was really excited when I saw our sketch for this week and even more so when I realized the Top Note Bigz Die isn't retiring! I've been neglecting this die and I don't know why. I embossed the Regarding Dahlia with white embossing powder onto the watercolor paper. I colored the flowers with our blender pens. Sad to see Hello, Lovely retire, but I think I will keep it in my stash.

Come back tomorrow when I share the swap I made for the Stampin' Up! catalog premier party I went to yesterday! It was so much fun and exciting! Thanks for stopping by today, until next time!

Nacho Crush!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well!  We have a fun new color challenge for you at Nacho Average Challenges, and it's one of my favorites! We hope you will join us this week and share your creations with us!

I created another interlocking framelits card. Remember this card from two Nacho challenges ago...well I was inspired to create another one. This time using the On Film framelits. I've been having fun using this technique and I have a couple of swaps I'm working on that I think I will create something similar to this. Have you tired this technique yet?

I'm having fun decorating the inside of my cards lately, adds an extra touch. I also have enough space to write a personal note.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week!

New Sunday Stamps Sketch

Hello Stampers! So sorry for my late post for our current Sunday Stamps sketch.  Hope you had a wonderful Easter yesterday.  We hosted Easter at our house and we were super busy!  It was quite a feast! So my Sunday Stamps post is up on a Monday! :)

Anyhow, Hayley has a fun new sketch for us to try out. We hope it inspires you to create along with us!

Here is what I created:

I used the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags in a different way, I just cut them out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time!

Nacho...Medallions

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday! We have a beautiful new color challenge for you starting today at Nacho Average Challenges that we hope it will inspire you to create along with us.

I'm so excited to show you my creation for our challenge this week. These colors inspired me to ink up a stamp set that I had not yet inked, Daydream Medallions. I used white and black embossing powders to make the flower images stand out.

Here is another view of the front, you can see the interlocking part of the card. I love it and I think I have a new addiction to making this type of card. It's just so cool! Amazing what can you do with paper!

This is the inside of my card. Do you ever amaze yourself and think, "WOW, I created this", well, that's what I've been thinking every time I see this card now.

A huge thanks to fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Julie Davison for her tutorial on how to create this interlocking framelits card. Thank you Julie!

Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

Monday Night Stamping with Sketch Frenzy Friday

Hello Stampers! Hope your Monday night is going well.  I'm back today with a new creation inspired by the sketch over at Sketch Frenzy Friday. Even though it's a Monday, I'm already wishing it was Friday. So while I wait, the next best thing is to play along with the designers at Sketch Frenzy Friday. Check them out if you have a chance.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I can't get enough of this DSP! I love it, but I'm trying to use it as much as I can. As I've been mentioning lately, trying to use up my supplies before the new catalog arrives! Oh the anticipation! I'm also happy that the Banner Punch will be carried over into the new catalog. So at least I know I can keep using it even though Sale-a-Bration is now over. Anyhow, hope your have a nice evening!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, until next time!

Sunday Stamps Card in a Box

Good morning Sunday Stampers!  We have a beautiful color challenge for you starting today starting at Sunday Stamps! We hope it will inspire you to create with us! The Stampin' Up! colors I used are Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette. You have until Friday, April 18th at 6 pm EST to play along.

Here is how the color inspired me:

You have probably been seeing these around the web a lot lately.  It's called a Card in a Box. Splitcoast Stampers has a tutorial for their Pop-Up Card Box here, which is very similar to the one I created. I however, followed the instructions shared by a fellow Stampin' Up! Demo, Brianna Thompson.  Her tutorial can be found here.  Thanks Brianna for the great instructions!

So this the front view of my card below:

This is the right side. I inked up the Just Sayin' stamp set from the Occasions catalog and used the coordinating Word Bubbles framelits. My clouds are from the cupcake punch.

This is the left view of my card:

This is what it looks like folded up.  You can see I used a lot of layers on my card.

I included a piece of Whisper White so that this is where I will write my note. So what do you think, pretty cool, no? Once you make one of these cards, you'll want to start making more. For me, that's great, as I'll use up more of my supplies! Remember-I'm trying to ink up stamp sets I haven't used in awhile and use up my supplies before the new catalog arrives!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, hope you will visit again. Until next time.

Techno World Stamper

Happy Saturday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well!

Today I combined two blog challenges for my card. The color challenge from Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenges and the current sketch challenge from Techno Stamper. I'm glad I had the chance to play along with them today! If you haven't had a chance to check them out, please do!

Here is how their challenges inspired me:

Trying to ink up stamp sets I haven't used in awhile. In this case, I used Papaya Collage. Such a pretty stamp set, don't know why I don't ink it up more often.

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Until next time.

Freshly Made Sketches!

Hello Stampers! Happy Wednesday my friends, hope your week is going well.  Hopefully no one played a April Fools trick on you yesterday!

The Designers at Freshly Made Sketches have a new sketch starting today! When I visited their website this morning it motivated me to create as soon as I got home! Ever have that feeling where you just want to get home as quickly as possible to spend time doing what you love? Well that was me today. I'm glad I did, almost felt like I could stay up all night creating...but this nagging thing called "chores" was calling me, lol.

Anyhow, this is the sketch for the week. Hope you get a chance to check them out and play along!
With the upcoming new 2014-2015 Annual Stampin' Catalog coming soon, several stamp sets and accessories will of course be retiring! Which I thought, I better start taking inventory of my current stamp sets, tools and accessories. OH.MY.GOODNESS!! I have a lot of stuff! Lol. So I'm going to challenge myself to start using more of my stuff before I buy more! So...when I started creating my card for the blog challenge, I decided to create two cards following the same sketch, just switch things up a bit.

I needed to make some masculine "Thank You" cards, so this is what I came up with:

I also decorated my envelopes, with DSP! Ever hold on to a piece of DSP because it's so pretty? Well, I tend to do that, but then I get stuck with retired DSP. Might as well use it and share the paper love, no?

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Hope you will come back and visit again.

Nacho...Roses

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is off to a great start! We have a great new sketch for you starting today! Come check us out and play along! We love to see what you create!

Here is how I used the sketch for my creation this week:

I love the roses/flowers from the Oh, Hello stamp set. I embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder. So what will this sketch inspire you to create?

Thanks for visiting today! Until next time.

April Fools Blog Hop

Hi Stampers!  Welcome to my first ever blog hop!  I'm excited to participate with such a great group of stampers! We're all part of Diana (Di) Gibbs group. This month's theme is April Fools!

If you just got here, wasn't Barb's project adorable! She also created our cute post header and our graphics for our blog hop! Thanks Barb!

So here is what I created for our blog hop:

I chose to do a birthday card with a funny sentiment on the front and the card has a trick! What's the trick you ask? Well, it's a tri-shutter card! This is a great card to highlight your favorite DSP! For me, the Kaleidoscope DSP is one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog. I also combined two different birthday stamp sets; Make a Cake and Remembering Your Birthday.

Here is a close-up photo of the center:

Here is a photo of the entire layout of the card:

Want to try making this style of card yourself? Just check out this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. So take out your favorite DSP and let me know what you think!

Up next is Crystal. She has an awesome project for you!
