Nacho Gold!

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! Hope your last week of 2014 is going great!  Wishing you and your family all the best for 2015! It's been a fun year but I'm ready for new beginnings and new challenges! What about you? What are you looking forward to in 2015?

We have an awesome Nacho Average color challenge for you today!  Hopefully it'll get you in the festive mood and help ring in 2015. We hope you will join us, we love seeing you creations.

I inked up a new stamp set which is in the upcoming 2015 Occasions Catalog, which goes lives on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Can't wait for next Tuesday! Lost of amazing new stamp sets, DSP, embellishments! Just wait until you see it! The stamp set is called Hello Life. The DSP is retired but black and white continues to be one of my favorites and I might as well use up what I have.

Well friends, hope you have a great week!  Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy New Year!

More Sunday Stamps...

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well. Hope you had a nice Christmas with family and loved ones.  My weekend is going by so quick, it's been relaxing but also glad a moment to create.

There is still time for you to play along with our Sunday Stamps color challenge. Thanks to all of you have linked up your beautiful creations. Deadline to link up is this coming Friday, January 2, 2015.

For my creation today, I played along with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

I used an upcoming stamp set that you can only earn during Sale-A-Bration in 2015, Best Day Ever, such a cute set. Can't wait to ink it up more. I also realized, after the fact that I must have touched my forehead (I tend to have oily skin) and then touched my paper. Guess my card needed that handmade touch, lol.  Anyhow, thank you for stopping by today.  Hopefully I'll have more new creations to share with you this week. Until next time.

Nacho Sketch

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! Quick post today as it is the week of Christmas for me and still have lots to do and catch up. If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and loved ones.

We have a fun new sketch for you this week, come check us out. If you have a free moment to create with us this week, we would love that.

I created a general holiday card, which I'll personalize the sentiment inside the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.

Balloon Animals

Happy Friday Stampers! What a week it has been!  I still need to finish my shopping for Christmas, finish sending out my Christmas cards, get ready for our holiday party tomorrow night...sigh...I was distracted by this great sketch at Reverse Confetti blog and then I had this cute stamp set and coordinating die from Avery Elle that I had not inked up or used yet.

When I saw this fun sketch, I just couldn't resist spending some time to create. The sketch has inspired me to create other cards. Love the inspiration. Luckily for me the link is open for another 10 days...hopefully I'll be done with all my other chores and I can just spend my time creating. We can wish right! Make sure you check out the blog for more inspiration with this sketch.

This is how the sketch inspired me:

Love the way it turned out and the ballon animals are so cute! The Basic Black and Whisper White DSP is retired but I still use because I really like the patterns. I originally bought this stamp set for my sister-in-law because she makes a lot of cool figurines with balloons. I do plan on making a set of cards with set for her. Hopefully she doesn't see this blog post as I want to surprise her with this image.

Hope your weekend is great!  Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

Nacho...Lagoon

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is going great! We have a new color challenge at Nacho Average Challenges and we hope you will create along with us.

When I started putting together my supplies to create my card for this week's challenge. I realized I was completely out of Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz card stock. However, I did have ink and markers. so I tried a technique called stamping with acrylic blocks. I really like the way my card came out. Very fun technique and I hope you will try it out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time.

Celebrate...Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well. Back today with a new Sunday Stamps creation, this time we have a Sunday Stamps color challenge. The Stampin' Up! colors are Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay. The Close to My Heart colors are Lagoon, Canary and Chocolate, general colors are yellow, teal and brown. This challenge will run for three weeks so you have plenty of time to create and join us.

I want to take a brief moment to thank Holly Endress for giving me the opportunity to design for Sunday Stamps! It has been a wonderful two years. I've truly enjoyed being a part of a great design team. It's time for new designers to be showcased on Sunday Stamps. When I started blogging I never thought that I would be designing for a blog challenge. It's been a fun ride. I'm exited to see the creations of the new designers and I know I will continue to play along with their challenges. Thank you again Holly!

I combined our color challenge with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge to create a general card.

I inked up a new stamp set (to me), Beautiful Bunch and I really like that we have a coordinating punch. Can't wait to ink up all the images in this set.  Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time.

Tis' The Season Thursday

Good morning Stampers! Hope your week is going well!  I'm back today with a new creation! I know, can you believe it, blogging two days in a row...perhaps I am getting my creative mojo back slowly! Feels so good to create, even with all the holiday stress going on right now.

So the inspiration for my cards today is from Tis' The Season as they have a great sketch to play along with! I loved the sketch so much, I created four cards! Since I'm behind on my Christmas cards (are you behind as well?) this was a nice boost!  Great inspiration from the Design Team. Go check them out.

Loving the Santa Stache stamp set! Super cute.  This is the first time I inked up the Nutcracker. I colored him in with Blendabilities. Paired with the Trim the Tree DSP Stack, makes for a perfect holiday card!

Still inspired by the sketch, I created another set of cards, this time using the stamp set Wondrous Wreath. LOVE THIS SET! So glad it is being carried over into the 2015 Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from Bright and Beautiful.

Good set of holiday cards, no? So happy with the way they all turned out. I may make a few more of these. Thanks again for the inspiration Tis' The Season!

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time!

Friday Funday...on a Wednesday!

Hello Stampers!  Hope your week is going well! I hope my creative mojo continues, two straight days of blogging and creating new projects. Woo hoo! Small victories for me. So I have a new creation, participating in another challenge, one I haven't played with in a while. The Friday Mashup! and their fun challenge.  I'm continuing to create Christmas cards for my stockpile.

This week's Mashup Challenge is:
  • Create a project using "Silver or Gold".
  • Create a "Christmas Project".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a "Christmas-themed Project with Silver or Gold".

I got this idea in my head and part of it came out the way I thought of it in my mind. Does that ever happen to you? I made it bigger so it could fit my banner, which I really like. Using the Little Letters Thinlits Dies was a fun way to create my custom banner. This card reminds me of cards I used to make when I started card-making.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great day! I can tell you that I'll be back tomorrow with a new creation to share! Yay!

Nacho Sketch

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  Hope your week is going well.  Can you believe it, I'm finally posting on a Tuesday! And it's a Nacho Tuesday! I've been such a slacker and have neglected my duties as a Designer for Nacho Average Challenges. I appreciate that Tammy has been patient with my lack of creations but it's not fair to my fellow designers with my lack of participation. I'm stepping down as a Nacho Designer. It's been an awesome ride and I've been creatively challenged. Thank you again!

So for my final creation as a Nacho DT member, my inspiration for my card today came from the Nacho sketch. Hope it will inspire you to create with us this week.

I created an monochromatic card of Whisper White, with some Shimmery White and Silver. I'm catching up on my Christmas cards so I made two of the same cards, might as well since I'm already cutting the paper. I used the stamp set Bright and Beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time!

Stamping Friends!

Hello Stampers! Hope your week is going well!  This past Monday night I attended our monthly INKin' All Night with Rhonda Morgan gathering. It was such a fun night and we laughed so much! I've been so blessed to have made such great friends, all through Stampin' Up!

We of course had a swap theme, which was Friendship or Valentine's Day. I decided to make a friendship card. I got my color combo from our Color Coach, Blackberry Bliss, Melon, Mambo and Smoky Slate. I must admit that this is the first time I inked up Smoky Slate as I finally got all the ink pads. I love this color! Is that a special button? Actually, I covered it with washi tape. Lots of possibilities with buttons and washi tape.

I'll post all the wonderful swaps from our gathering this weekend. Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.

Di's Country INKers December Blog Hop

Hello Stampers!  It's the first of December and the holiday season is officially upon us!  It also means that it's time for another blog hop with my fellow Di's Country INKers!  We have an awesome line up for you today, it's our biggest line up so far! The theme for this month's blog hop is anything Christmas/Winter.

If you're just stopping by, you just arrived from Barb's blog, she also created our blog hop buttons, aren't they cute!  Thank you Barb.  What did you think of her project, cute right!

I created a couple of projects for this blog hop, only because I need a jump start on my holiday cards. For my layout inspiration I played along with the sketch from The Sweetest Thing, love the way this turned out!  It gave me a huge creative mojo boost!

I also created two sets of cards from the Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit, which is such a fun kit!  You receive everything to make 20 cards.  I didn't have the coordinating stamp set but I used what I already had in stock.

You can watch the video below for more information.

Up next is Lucy, this is her second time participating with us and we're so excited to have her play along. Isn't her project adorable!!

It's a Banners Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well!  Can't believe it's the last Sunday of November, heading into the Holiday Season!  I am not ready at all.  But the season is here even if we are not ready at all.

We have a fun new sketch for you at Sunday Stamps and it's all about the banners! Lots of cool inspiration from my fellow Sunday Stamps Designers. We hope you will join us and create with us. The link will be open until Friday, December 12th, 2014.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Very simple and straight forward card. Trying to get back into the swing of stamping and playing catch up. Seems like finding balance with everything in my life lately is a constant thing. Anyhow, thanks for stopping by.  Until next time.

Di's Country INKers November Blog Hop

Hello Stampers! Welcome back to another blog hop with Di's Country INKers! Can't believe it's already November! Hopefully where you are it feels like fall, still a bit warm in Arizona, but it'll start to cool off soon enough.

Thanks for stopping today, if you're just arriving, you just saw Barb's beautiful creation. She continues to do an amazing job of creating our blog buttons. Thanks Barb!

Here is my creation for this month....simple card to celebrate the fall season.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as my starting point. It's been awhile since I've played along with a blog challenge.

Up next is the wonderful Crystal.

Creative Blog Hop

Happy Monday friends! Hope you're Monday is off to a beautiful start! We got lots of rain last night, it was nice!

So my good friend Heather tagged me for this Creative Blog Hop. I've know Heather for a few years now, I've met her through the online demonstrator only website, Stampin' Connection. She signed up for an organized swap I had coordinated back when Stampin' Up! hosted a regional event back in Phoenix a few years ago. We now keep in touch often and she plays constantly with our challenges at Sunday Stamps and Nacho Average Challenges.  You can check out her blog and her beautiful creations here.

So let's begin this Creative Blog Hop.

What am I working on now? Right now I am working on cleaning and organizing my craft room. It has been in such a chaotic mess, because I keep changing my mind as to how I want things organized.  I'll be putting thing away quickly so that I can work on some swaps for another organized swap I am participating in this weekend.

How does my work defer from others on my genre? Hmm...this is a hard one, as I feel like I am still defining my own style.  My style defers each time I create something new. What would you say my style is?

Why do I create what I do? Creating for me is a fun escape. Although lately I've been in a very creative rut, hopefully I'll get my creative mojo back. Does that ever happen to you?

How does my creative process go? Since I've started designing for the Sunday Stamps and Nacho Average Challenges, the sketches and color combos help me get started. Depending on the stamp set that I want to use and the color scheme, my project will take a life of it's own, to convey a certain feeling.
Tag, you're it! This has been a Tag, you're it!  This has been a fun experience!  Thanks again Heather for tagging me.  I'm tagging Barb Stencel, both she and I are part of the same downline group with Diana Gibbs. We also blog hop once a month as part of Di's Country INKers. You can check out her blog here and learn more about her. She'll be posting her responses next Monday, October 27th, 2014 so make sure to check back then.
I'm also tagging Rhonda Morgan from INKin' All Night! Although she is too young to be like my grandmother, she is my second Upline. She does so much for all of us in her group. Check back with her next Monday, October 27th, 2014 to learn more about her!
Can't wait to see who they both tag. Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

Sunday Nachos

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your day is going fantastic! It's been a super busy weekend for me. Worked overtime yesterday, celebrated my fiancé's birthday today.

We have an awesome color combo for you at Sunday Stamps and we hope you will create with us during the next two weeks! Lots of inspiration from my fellow Sunday Stamps designers!

I also used the current sketch from Nacho Average Challenges. You still have a few more hours to play along.

Here is my final creation:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Until next time.

Di's Country INKers October Blog Hop

Hello Stampers! It's October 1st and that means it's time for another blog hop with Di's Country INKers! The theme this month is anything Fall. Thanks for stopping by today, if you are just arriving, you just came from Di's blog. Welcome!

Wait...I have a confession...this month we actually decided to do something different for our blog hop. We decided to honor Di Gibbs this month. She is such an incredible leader, an amazing woman and so humble and down to earth. She does so much to encourage all of us in her group.  Above all, Di is such an inspiration, she is proof that if you set your goals, make a plan and work your plan, all things are possible, especially with Stampin' Up! It's amazing all she has accomplished with Stampin' Up!

Cheers to you Di, I hope you enjoy this special blog hop!

I signed up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator during the month of November 2010 under Di's Country INKers.  This is my second go-around as a demo. It has been such a blessing to me to be under her group. I'm looking forward to celebrating my fourth year this coming November, 2014. For today's blog post, I'm CASEing the card she created back on November 6, 2010:

You can read her entire blog post here. Thanks for the inspiration Di! So I went ahead and made an easel card. Although I didn't make it exactly like hers, lol. I kept my card simple, the DSP is so pretty that I wanted it to stand out. The sentiment is perfect as I truly am grateful for Di! Thank you Di!

Up next is Barb and I can't wait to see her project! She alway does an outstanding job of creating our blog buttons. Love the colors she used this month.

If you get lost, don't worry, below are all the links to everyone's blog. Please don't forget to leave some "blog love comments".
