December Blog Hop

Hello Stampers and Friends!  Wow, it has been a long time since I've shared with you any new creations, so sorry about that. At least we are ending with a bang!  So glad to be participating in this blog hop with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, which we are all part of Diana Gibbs's Country INKers team.  The theme this month is Christmas and New Years!  If you are just getting here, you just arrived from Mary's blog, wasn't her creation beautiful!

I used the stamp set called Christmas Sweaters from the 2017 Holiday Mini Catalog. Did you know that there is a National Ugly Christmas Sweater day? Yup, it's coming up, it'll be on Friday, December 15, 2017. But this stamp set is far from ugly, I think. The images are so cute! What about you, do you have an ugly sweater that you use during the holiday season?

The stamp set with the cactus and the snowman made from sand and the sun burst, reminds of home-Arizona! Although I have't tried making a snowman out of sand yet...nor put lights on a cactus, although it does look pretty.

This set is perfect for coloring. I used the watercolor pencils and the watercolor brushes.

Up next is Nita! Can't wait to see what amazing creations she has in store for us!

If you get lost, don't worry, below are the links to everyone's blog.

New Holiday Catalog Bundle

Hello Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well. I spent some time creating using a new bundle from the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog. The bundle is called Seasonal Chums and it comes with coordinating framelits.  So cute.

I was inspired by the sketch over at the Paper Craft Crew, haven't had a chance to play with them in a long time so I was happy I still had time to play along. Check them out if you can.

This was my second creation with this set, the cute little snowman. I was inspired by the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Another fun blog challenge to play along with, check them out too!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great week.

Happy Birthday Friday

Hello Friends. Today is Frida Kahlo's birthday! She was born on July 6, 1907. She is an amazing artist and was well ahead of her time.  In her honor I created a birthday card, using the technique for a pop-up with alphabet dies. Took me a while to get this technique down and I love the way it turned out.  Can't wait to do it again.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have an awesome day.

Lemon Zest

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  Hope your week is going well. Playing along with another fun blog challenge this week, this time, the Match the Sketch challenge. Another fun bundle from the new Stampin' Up! catalog is the Lemon Zest bundle, which comes with a coordinating punch. It comes in wood-mount or clear mount. The sentiments are so cute!  Plus, I love lemons and limes, I put both in just about everything! Any how, make sure you check the creations from the Designers over at Match the Sketch, lots of inspiration.

My color combinations are Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo, and Melon Mambo. Nice bold colors, hence why I decided to keep my card simple and let the colors pop out. Cool tip, the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits perfectly cuts out the round shape and gives it a nice detail. I stamped the limes onto Shimmery White card stock. The white banner is from the June Paper Pumpkin 2017 kit. The Melom Mambo DSP is from the retire Pop of Pink DSP collection.  Somehow I've used up all my Melom Mambo card stock, it is one of my favorite colors. Anyhow, can't wait to keep inking up this stamp set, got lots of ideas for it.

Thanks for stopping by, hope the rest of your week goes well! Until next time!

Watts Up!

Hello Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well. It's only the second of July, but I'm catching up sharing with you all my excitement for the new Stampin' Up! Catalog. So many new amazing stamp sets and accessories. One of thew new sets I like is called Watts of Occasions, so cute and many possibilities. It's available in wood and clear mount.

I came across the Paper Craft Crew Challenge and I really like their challenges.  Two of their sketches really inspired me to create and ink up the Watts of Occasions stamp set. While I didn't link up my creations to their blog in time, a great sketch always inspires. I've been practicing my watercoloring and this stamp set is great for that.

Base of my card is Rose Red card stock, layered with Basic Black and Whisper White. I inked up the background stamp from You've Got This in Powder Pink, a new InColor. The oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits is cut out in Fresh Fig, another new InColor. I colored in the light bulb in Powder Pink and Berry Burst and on top of it, with some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in clear. The Love sentiment is from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. Love it when different accessories and stamp sets can be combined for a unique creation.

Great sketches right! The second sketch also inspired me to create using the Watts of Occasions set.

The base of this card is Crushed Curry cardstock, layered with Basic Black and Whisper White. Used the same stamp sets with these cards. Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. Used a few retired items, the Melon Mambo DSP and the washi tape.

The base of this card is Flirty Flamingo and also layer with Basic Black and Whisper White. Colors are Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig.

I'll be creating other samples with this stamp set and sharing them with you. Hope you like them. Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great Sunday.

Retro Rubber Challenge

Hello Stampers!  Happy Friday! Can't believe it's already June 2!

I played along with new blog challenge, it's called Retro Rubber Challenge and they feature stamp sets that are older than a year!  Yay, great way for me to use my retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets. Looking forward to playing along with them again. Their current challenge is a color challenge of using lime green/yellow, purple and blue.  Not gonna lie, at first I was a bit scared of the colors because I wasn't sure what colors to put together or how they were going to go together.

The stamp set I used is called "Happy Watercolor" and it was featured in the 2014 Stampin' Up!  Occasions catalog. Glad I never got rid of it, some sets just become part of your permanent collection, know what I mean? Below are all the images from the stamp set.

The colors I used on my card are Elegant Eggplant (purple), Marina Mist (blue), Crushed Curry (yellow), Lemon Lime Twist (lime green). My card base is Whisper White and I also used Watercolor Paper. I'm having fun using watercolor paper.

I also played along with sketch challenge 647 over at Splitcoaststampers, which worked great with the colors, no? I liked the sketch so much, I created another card with it in mind, which I'll post later. The cool thing about this sketch, there is no deadline to play along, awesome, right!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have an awesome day. Until next time.

May Country INKers Blog Hop

Happy May Stampers! Can't believe it is May 1st, this year is flying by fast.  This theme this month is Mother's Day. I spent all day creating and it is something I very much needed, for my soul. Creating helps me relax and refocus on what is important. Anyhow, if you're just arriving, you just finished checking out Barb's beautiful creation. Glad we continue to create together and blog hop together.

I have great news to share with you all, I've been invited to be a part of the Design Team for the Creative Crew over at Splitcoaststampers. Starting today (May 1st) through August 2017. I'm excited and I'm part of a great team. Every month we'll have different challenges so come join us and create with us! In fact, the card below is one of the cards I created for the challenge, which was a One Layer Base Card Sketch Challenge. Haven't created one of those in long time. It was fun.

Can't believe I finally inked up my Succulent Garden Suite; the stamp set and the coordinating framelit dies.  And it will not be carried over into the upcoming new catalog. It's okay though, I like it so much, I'm keeping it in my stash.

Up next is the talented Ellie!  Can't wait to see what she created.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week.

April Blog Hop

Happy April 1st Stampers!  Almost wish it was a joke that it's already April 1st, but it is. Luckily, it means it's time for another fun blog hop with my fellow Di Country INKers.  The theme this month is Spring and we have some beautiful creations to share with you all.  Make sure you check them all out.

This week I played along with the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches, the Designers always come up with some fun sketches and I try to play along as much as I can.

I was inspired to use the Basket Bunch Bundle from the Occasions catalog, perfect for a spring theme card, right?  Lots of fun coloring in this set. The base of the my card is Watercolor Wonder, layered with Flirty Flamingo and the coordinating DSP. The eggs are colored on Shimmery White card stock with our Watercolor pencils-fun!

Up next is my amazing friend Ellie!  I'm so excited for her, she'll be attending our Stampin' Up! OnStage event in San Diego in a couple of days and she'll be walking on stage for her success with Stampin' Up! Congrats Ellie!

March Blog Hop

Happy March 1st Friends!  Can you believe we are 60 days into 2017 already!  Yes, sixty days!  Wow, it's almost as if I blinked and it's March!  All good though, March is my favorite month.  Spring is in the air (hopefully soon), it's my birthday month.  Spring Break is around the corner, so much to do.  For us Stampers and Crafters, it means it's the last month of Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration!  The favorite time of the year when you can earn free items!  Our theme for our blog hop this month is Sale-a-Bration, which ends March 31st!  If you are just arriving, wasn't Barb's creation just beautiful! Blessed to be a part of such a wonderful team!

For my blog creation, I decided to keep it simple. Not gonna lie, I was pressed for time, my lack of preparation, hence why I decided to come up with something quick and easy.  I chose to use the Inside the Lines DSP Paper that you can earn for free. I love this paper and can't believe this was my first time using, I think because I like to hoard my DSP, (yeah I said it) instead of using it. The base of each card is the 2015-2017 InColors which will be retiring later this year. Great reason to use the card stock right!  I used the InColor Stampin' Write Markers, Aqua Painters and the Blender Pens to color in my paper.  I didn't add a sentiment because I wasn't sure what I wanted to add.  Does that ever happen to you? Anyhow, coloring never goes out of style and this DSP is so beautiful to color in.

Watermelon Wonder

Cucumber Crush

Tip Top Taupe

Mint Macaron

Delightful Dijon

Up next is the talented Ellie!  I'm always excited to see what she in store for us!
