Freshly Made Sketches #100

Hello Stampers!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a fun weekend!  I spent all day Saturday with fellow Stampin' Up! Demos and customers for a full day of what we call Fall Fest. I created awesome projects and cards. Always great to learn new stamping tricks.

So for today I created this card in honor of Freshly Made Sketches 100 Sketch.  It was their first sketch two years ago. Make sure you check them out here! Congrats Freshly Made Sketches!

The base of the card is Coastal Cabana and layered with Whisper White. The DSP is Eastern Elegance and I combined several stamps. Can you guess which ones? I love the way this card came out!

Sorry for the short post, time for bed time. Until next time.

New Sunday Stamps Color Challenge

Hello Stampers!  Happy Sunday!  We have a fun new color challenge at Sunday Stamps starting today!       Love all the creations from my fellow designers at Sunday Stamps! Make sure you check them out and show them some love!

The color challenge is to use red, black and fuchsia in your creation. The color combo is great!  I used Real Red, Melon Mambo and Basic Black. For this challenge I have three different designs to show you.  Not because the color combo was a challenge for me, but because the design of my card was! Sometimes, the design gets the best of me. Once you see all three cards, I would love to know which card you like best!

This is my final creation. I created a paper wreath/flower by cutting out 12 pieces of DSP, each piece is cut 1 1/4. I decided to just keep it simple and keep the focus on the wreath/flower.  I really like the way the center came out! Not too bad for creating late at night. All the white space doesn't scare me, lol.

This was my first attempt! Which it's not bad but once I added the bottom piece of DSP with the Real Red, it just threw me off. I don't know, something about it I just didn't like.

This was second attempt, which once I stamp the splatter in Real Red I felt like I ruined the card! Why, well because it reminded me of blood, hence my need to cover it up. The card feels very chaotic and busy to me, almost like the splatter/blood got my blood going, lol. Have to keep playing with the gorgeous grunge stamp set.

So what you think?  Which card do you like best?  Hope you have chance to play along with us at Sunday Stamps! Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a wonderful Sunday! Until next time.

Mosaic Madness

Happy Sunday Stampers! Ahh...finally sitting down to blog today.  I had a busy weekend.  Yesterday we had the carpets cleaned, as well as our tile and grout.   Spent all day throughly cleaning the entire house.  All is clean now and today I hosted an Origami Owl Jewelry Party with my friend Elizabeth. It was fun!

Starting today, Joan has a cool sketch for us at Sunday Stamps to play along with. When I saw the other creations from my fellow designers, I was so inspired by their creations! Make sure you check them out here!

I inked up my Mosaic Madness stamp set and used the color combo of Sahara Sand, Strawberry Slush,  Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. I also inked up the new stamp set Gorgeous Grunge. Can I just tell you that using it on my card was my favorite part!  I admit when I first read the title of this stamp set I laughed at first but now I understand!  Can't wait to ink up this stamp set more!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time. Hope you have time to play along with us, we love to see what you create!

Flower Shop Duo

Hello Stampers!  Happy Wednesday to you all!  Hope your week is going well.  August is turning out to be super busy and  fun!  Last week we went to three different concerts!  We saw Burno Mars!!  He was amazing!  The kid can sing, play drums and dance! Triple threat!

This past Monday, August 5, I had my Shoe Box Swap with my group.  I'm part of an amazing group, my direct group is with Diana Gibbs-Di's Country Inkers and my sideline is with Rhonda Morgan, Inkin' All Night.  It was so much fun!  The swap theme was to use any of the "Bundled Products" so I chose the Flower Shop stamp set with the coordinating Pansy Punch!  Love this stamp set! This was my swap for the night.  Clean, simple and colorful.

You can also read more about our night on Di's Blog.  She has cool photos of us! I laughed so much!  Oh and I have to share with you convention gifts from Di and Rhonda, in a later post.

I was inspired to continue using the stamp set for a blog challenge, the Dynamic Duos. Love this combo, especially the new Strawberry Slush! So make sure to check out the website for oodles of inspiration.

Sorry my photo is a bit crooked. Love the way this came out! Two of my fellow demos at our meeting on Monday had created cards similar to this and I wanted to try it out.  Simple!

Well friends, I better get going!  Hope you have a wonderful afternoon and I'll be back later this week with more to share!

Until next time.
