Got swaps? & Keep Calm...

Hello stamping friends! Hope you had a great weekend!  Can't believe it is already the last week in September! Only three more months until the end of 2012! Not that I want 2012 to end just yet, it is after all the Year of the Dragon according to Chinese astrology and I am a Dragon! :)

The above photos shows all the swaps I received in the mail as part of a huge all catalog swap from the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog.  Fellow Stampin' Up! demo Kayleen Clements hosted this second annual swap and other Stampin' Up! demos signed up to create "swaps!" What's a "swap" you ask?  A swap within the stamping world (or at least in my world) is a handmade card you make and based off that sample, make "x" number of the same card.  Then you will swap it out with others and in return get x number of different cards.  So lets say, 10 of you are swapping, you will make 10 same cards and get 10 different cards. So I signed up for 12 groups, which meant I had to make over 200+ swaps. It was a challenge worth taking and I had a lot of fun! Receiving my box of swaps was like opening a big'o box of presents!

I'll start by showing you the cards I made for the hostess groups.  I signed up for the Carry On stamp set.  When I first saw the stamp set in the catalog, I knew I wanted it right away! You can earn this great stamp set with a qualifying order-if you're interested in learning how you can earn it, let me know.

I used the new ink pads on both cards and they are amazing!  When you stamp with the new ink pads your image is much more crisp! I'll continue to show you more of the swaps I made.  Hope you like them.

Do you know the history of the phrase "Keep Calm and Carry On"?  Below is a great video on it.  Every time I watch the video I want to jump on a plane and travel to Barter Books.  I miss local bookstores.

These are other swaps I have made with the same stamp set.

Well friends, hope you have a great evening.  Below are the other images included in this great stamp set. Until next time.
