Stampin' Royalty Challenge

Hello Stampers!  If you have today off for President's Day, hope you are enjoying your day.  I'm multi-tasking today, doing chores around the house, cleaning my craft room and creating.  I also spent a little bit of time looking at blog challenges.  I came across this color challenge from Stampin' Royalty and I knew I had to play along.  Love these three colors together! Remember this card? Well I couldn't use the same card since the colors were similar, so I made a new one.

It's amazing how many different ways you can use the background stamp, Swallowtail from the Spring Catalog.  Have you tried the triple time stamping technique?  I tried it with this stamp and I like the effect.  I inked it with melon mambo and then colored it in with daffodil delight.  Using our color spritzer tool with our daffodil delight and melon mambo markers it created a nice splash of color in the background. I kept the color theme going with our 2 1/2 scallop dots melon mambo ribbon, a daffodil delight designer button and our jewelry tag punch with the sentiment from Tiny Tags. This was a fun challenge for me, one that I know I'll use again.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Sunday Stamps Challenge

Hello stampers!  Happy Sunday.  I'm having so much fun designing for the Sunday Stamps blog challenge.  Steph is our host this week and she has an awesome color challenge for us. Have you played along with us yet? Join us!  Come check us out here.

Have you tried the triple time stamping technique? It's such a cool technique.  This week for my creation, I followed the instructions from Spiltcoast Stampers on this technique.  It's been awhile since I created a square card and I love the way it turned out!

The base of the card is crumb cake and I layered the whisper white onto the raspberry ripple. I inked the Hello, Doily with crumb cake,  stamped off first then stamped onto the whisper white. It creates a nice subtle effect.  Inking the flower from Blooming with Kindness with raspberry ripple, I stamped it three different times. Running the Beautiful Wings Embosslits with perfect plum dsp through the big shot, I scattered the butterflies throughout my card. I also decorated the inside of the card with the color challenge. So now it's your turn to create something!

Until next time.
