Nacho...Medallions

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday! We have a beautiful new color challenge for you starting today at Nacho Average Challenges that we hope it will inspire you to create along with us.

I'm so excited to show you my creation for our challenge this week. These colors inspired me to ink up a stamp set that I had not yet inked, Daydream Medallions. I used white and black embossing powders to make the flower images stand out.

Here is another view of the front, you can see the interlocking part of the card. I love it and I think I have a new addiction to making this type of card. It's just so cool! Amazing what can you do with paper!

This is the inside of my card. Do you ever amaze yourself and think, "WOW, I created this", well, that's what I've been thinking every time I see this card now.

A huge thanks to fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Julie Davison for her tutorial on how to create this interlocking framelits card. Thank you Julie!

Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

Joyful Christmas

Happy Wednesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well! What a beautiful feeling to be in the Christmas spirit. The other day I watched the CMA Country Christmas special and I can really listen to Christmas music all year long.

I'm back today with a new card that I created by combining two blog challenges. A color challenge from Fab Friday using Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Gumball Green and a sketch from Retro Sketches.

This is my creation:

I really like the way it came out because I stepped out of my comfort zone again, this time by creating a square card. I usually always create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base so it was fun creating this one. I finally purchased the Joyful Christmas stamp set and I'm so glad that I did! I used gold embossing powder to bring out the lines in the poinsettia. The smaller stems, I colored them on Whisper White and cut them out then popped them up with dimensionals.  I felt like I should add more to my card, but finally decided to leave it alone.

What about you, have you created different size cards?  Do you have a usual size of your cards?

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

Hey there friend...

Hi Stampers...I'm back...rare occasion to have two blog posts in one day...but I couldn't resist once I saw this cool sketch from the Paper Craft Crew. I was inspired by the creations from the Design Team (hi Heather!!) but obviously I can't CASE their creations and submit it again, lol, so I put my creative cap on and the light bulb came on!

This is what I came up with, a colorful rainbow banner! I love the way it came out. Thanks for the inspiration Paper Craft Crew, I'll be using this sketch again.

Thanks for stopping by again, until next time.

New Nacho Sketch!

Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your week is going well!  I'm back today with a new sketch challenge with my fellow Nachos. Thanks to all of you who are playing along with us, we love to see your creations! Make sure you come check us out.

The sketch inspired me to create a Halloween card. I inked up the largest stamp from the Layered Labels stamp set onto Basic Black and embossed it with white embossing powder. I also used a strip of washi tape from the Witches' Brew Designer pack to create a rosette.  This is a fun sketch, I know I will be using it again!

Thanks for stopping by today.

I was inspired to ink up my Papillion Potpourri stamp set for this sketch.  I chose a color combo from our Color Coach; Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana. The DSP is Eastern Elegance.

Mosaic Madness

Happy Sunday Stampers! Ahh...finally sitting down to blog today.  I had a busy weekend.  Yesterday we had the carpets cleaned, as well as our tile and grout.   Spent all day throughly cleaning the entire house.  All is clean now and today I hosted an Origami Owl Jewelry Party with my friend Elizabeth. It was fun!

Starting today, Joan has a cool sketch for us at Sunday Stamps to play along with. When I saw the other creations from my fellow designers, I was so inspired by their creations! Make sure you check them out here!

I inked up my Mosaic Madness stamp set and used the color combo of Sahara Sand, Strawberry Slush,  Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. I also inked up the new stamp set Gorgeous Grunge. Can I just tell you that using it on my card was my favorite part!  I admit when I first read the title of this stamp set I laughed at first but now I understand!  Can't wait to ink up this stamp set more!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time. Hope you have time to play along with us, we love to see what you create!

Flower Shop Duo

Hello Stampers!  Happy Wednesday to you all!  Hope your week is going well.  August is turning out to be super busy and  fun!  Last week we went to three different concerts!  We saw Burno Mars!!  He was amazing!  The kid can sing, play drums and dance! Triple threat!

This past Monday, August 5, I had my Shoe Box Swap with my group.  I'm part of an amazing group, my direct group is with Diana Gibbs-Di's Country Inkers and my sideline is with Rhonda Morgan, Inkin' All Night.  It was so much fun!  The swap theme was to use any of the "Bundled Products" so I chose the Flower Shop stamp set with the coordinating Pansy Punch!  Love this stamp set! This was my swap for the night.  Clean, simple and colorful.

You can also read more about our night on Di's Blog.  She has cool photos of us! I laughed so much!  Oh and I have to share with you convention gifts from Di and Rhonda, in a later post.

I was inspired to continue using the stamp set for a blog challenge, the Dynamic Duos. Love this combo, especially the new Strawberry Slush! So make sure to check out the website for oodles of inspiration.

Sorry my photo is a bit crooked. Love the way this came out! Two of my fellow demos at our meeting on Monday had created cards similar to this and I wanted to try it out.  Simple!

Well friends, I better get going!  Hope you have a wonderful afternoon and I'll be back later this week with more to share!

Until next time.

New Sneak Peek-2013 Holiday Catalog, Halloween Bash

Hello Stampers! Happy Monday. Thank you all for your get well wishes, feeling much better!  I took some time to play with some new items from our upcoming new Holiday Catalog.  I love being able to preorder new products ahead of schedule.  The new holiday catalog will go live on August 1st.  With all the wonderful new things from the new Annual Catalog, on top of the upcoming Holiday Catalog, it's a great time to be creative and get crafty.

I'm participating in another organized swap with a fellow demo from Stampin' Connection and as I was looking for inspiration, I came across the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog. You can check out the beautiful creations from the Design Team here.

The new stamp set I used is called Halloween Bash. It's a set of five stamps that coordinate with several punches; the decorative label, large oval, scallop oval and the ticket builder duo builder. It also coordinates with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies.

The other new item from the upcoming catalog is the Witches' Brew Designer Washi Tape! Once I started playing with it, I realized I gotta buy more of it.  It is so much fun to use!  I used it to create a halloween theme cake, hence the sentiment is perfect for it! The cake stand is from Make a Cake. The topper is a black rose created with the 7/8 scallop punch.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great day!  Until next time.

More Sneak Peeks...

Hello Stampers.  Happy Monday. If you have the day off today for Memorial Day, hope you are having a great Monday. I spent part of the weekend working on some swaps for my sideline group.  We were to use new stamp sets from the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog so I have some sneak peeks for you today.

For the first card, I used a new background stamp set called Wildflower Meadow, which is gorgeous!  And it coordinates with an embossing folder also called Wildflower Meadow. Such a great combination! I didn't use the entire background, just part of it.  Can you see the embossed part of the card? Isn't cool! So many possibilities with this combo.

My color combo for this card was Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black. I layered the Melon Mambo with the Pumpkin Pie Polka Dot DSP. I also used a new Hostess stamp set called Banner Greetings. I know it will get used a lot. The sentiment reads "Thankful for you". A little bling on the flowers adds a nice touch.

This card is very different from the other one, but I love the simplicity of it. I wanted the banners to be the focus of the card. I paired Banner Greetings with the Hearts of Flutter banner stamp set. So happy this stamp set is still in the new catalog! I used the similar color combo from the card above, except I added Pacific Point.

Two different cards using similar color combo with new stamp sets. Did I tell you the new Annual Catalog goes live next Friday, May 31st at Noon (MT). I can't wait! Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time.

You're Amazing...

Hello Stampers! So day three of my challenge and still going strong! What's my challenge you ask?Well, as a member of the design team for the Sunday Stamp blog challenge, we all take turns hosting a color or a sketch challenge. I'm hosting my first challenge and the deadline to participate is this Friday, March 1st. The colors I chose are whisper white, daffodil delight and basic black. So I personally am challenging myself to create all week long with that color combo. So far so good. What do you think?

I came home today and I don't know about you, but I knew I wanted to create for myself-for me. Had a stressful day at my other job working on a project that is due tomorrow. I know it will get done but I'll be much happier once it is done! I got to creating on this card and it cheered me up ASAP! Went for the chalkboard technique again and my inspiration for this card came from my friend Rhonda Morgan, who is also my Upline/Sideline. Sometimes, you have to be your own cheerleader in life.

So, with that, I'll call it a night. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have sweet dreams and wish a blessed day tomorrow.

Until next time.
