Fun Fold Swap!

Hello Stampers! Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well!  For the Catalog Premier event that Stampin' Up! hosted in Mesa, I hosted an organized swap with my fellow Arizona demos.  As I sat down to create my card, I came across the new challenge at the Friday Mashup and I knew I hit gold!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with "Polka Dots".
  2. Create a project with a "Fun Fold".
  3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Fun Fold project with some Polka Dots"!
Ready to see what I created following the Friday Mashup challenge? You probably won't be surprised because I created another interlocking framelits card. I also decorated the inside of my card. I'm getting lots of ideas of different ways to use this fun fold! Hmm...with so many new stamp sets in the upcoming catalog, don't be surprised if I keep using this style of card again.

I created 12 of these beauties! I love the way they came out! Can you guess what colors I used? Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Strawberry Slush, lol.

Come back tomorrow when I share my creation for our May Blog Hop with Di's Country INKers. My second blog hop!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time!

Nacho Pinks!

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers!! Hope your week is off to a great start! We have a beautiful new Nacho color challenge for you starting today. Beautiful inspiration from my fellow designers, come check us out and play along!

I also used the current sketch from Sunday Stamps, which I also design for. Great opportunity to combine two great blog challenges!

Here is how I used our Nacho color challenge:

Lots of circles on this card. The large circle stamp is from the February Paper Pumpkin, a great kit! I colored the flower with Rose Red re-inker.

Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time.

Hello Lovely...

Hello Stampers!  Well I've been on a creative roll this week! I've neglected a few of my house chores, lol, but nothing I can't complete on the weekends.  I'm trying to be better about using up more of my current (and some retired) items before purchasing more. Not as easy task when there is so much inspiration out there!

I have a simple card to share with you today that I entered into two different challenges. I played along with the Dynamic Duos color challenge; pairing Perfect Plum with my color choice.  I chose Blushing Bride and Basic Black as my neutral.

I followed the sketch from Fab Friday as this is their 25th sketch. Can't wait to see what other color and sketch challenges they have in store for us to play along with.

Thanks for stopping by today! Stop by tomorrow for another card creation for another blog challenge. Until next time.

Flower Shop Duo

Hello Stampers!  Happy Wednesday to you all!  Hope your week is going well.  August is turning out to be super busy and  fun!  Last week we went to three different concerts!  We saw Burno Mars!!  He was amazing!  The kid can sing, play drums and dance! Triple threat!

This past Monday, August 5, I had my Shoe Box Swap with my group.  I'm part of an amazing group, my direct group is with Diana Gibbs-Di's Country Inkers and my sideline is with Rhonda Morgan, Inkin' All Night.  It was so much fun!  The swap theme was to use any of the "Bundled Products" so I chose the Flower Shop stamp set with the coordinating Pansy Punch!  Love this stamp set! This was my swap for the night.  Clean, simple and colorful.

You can also read more about our night on Di's Blog.  She has cool photos of us! I laughed so much!  Oh and I have to share with you convention gifts from Di and Rhonda, in a later post.

I was inspired to continue using the stamp set for a blog challenge, the Dynamic Duos. Love this combo, especially the new Strawberry Slush! So make sure to check out the website for oodles of inspiration.

Sorry my photo is a bit crooked. Love the way this came out! Two of my fellow demos at our meeting on Monday had created cards similar to this and I wanted to try it out.  Simple!

Well friends, I better get going!  Hope you have a wonderful afternoon and I'll be back later this week with more to share!

Until next time.

Flower Shop Swap

Hello Stampers!  I have another creation to share with you from the organized swap I participated in. For this card, I used the new Flower Shop stamp set and the coordinating Pansy punch. I love it when our Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well.

For this card I used one of the first techniques I learned when I first started stamping, "stamping off". I inked up the flower with the new In-Color Strawberry Slush, which once I paired it with Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray, it was a cool color combo. Anyhow, once you ink up your stamp, you "stamp off" getting different shades of the ink. Strawberry Slush is a new fave color of mine. The new Ruffle Stretch Trim is so much prettier in person! I love it.  It layered so perfect beneath the apothecary accents frame lit. You know how much I love to use our paper piercing templates! I punched out one of the flowers with the Pansy punch and used two dimensionals to pop it up. Using the Boho Blossoms punch, I punched out a small scallop circle using the Polka Dot Parade DSP in Daffodil Delight. I finished it off with a pearl basic jewel. The thinking of you sentiment is from Sassy Salutations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a super cool Saturday! Until next time.

Six Sided Sampler & Flower Shop

Happy Sunday Stampers!  Hope your Sunday is off to a beautiful start!  We are in the middle of a heat advisory weekend in Arizona! We reached 118 degrees yesterday! It's HOT!  I'm not a big fan of the heat. I burn easily in the sun, seriously!  Just ten minutes in the sun and I start turning red! Luckily for me, we have a cool color combo at Sunday Stamps to cool me off.  Thank you to ALL of you who joined us for the last challenge, WOW! Such inspiration from all 18 entries!

So this week, the color challenge is to use orange, blue and yellow in our creations. Make sure you stop by our blog to check out all the creations by my fellow designers.

For my card, I started off stamping the polka dot hexagon stamp from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set in Pumpkin Pie onto the Whisper White cardstock.  I did use the coordinating hexagon punch to punch them out, but I wanted some additonal layers and dimension. So I trimmed them off a bit and layered them onto the Pacific Point hexagon punch. Once I had all of that glued I stamped one of the flowers from Flower Shop onto the design.  I kept the rest of the card simple as I wanted to the colors and design to stand out. The sentiment is hard to read but it is from Banner Greetings and it read "Friends Forever".

Hope this color combo inspires you to create something fun! Remember, our challenges are open for two weeks now. Hope you have a great week. Until next time.

New Sunday Stamps Sketch!

Hello Stampers! Hope you are all doing well!  So sorry I'm late for our Sunday Stamps blog challenge, which started yesterday.  Did you hear the news, our challenges are now open for two weeks and we have two new designers, Marie and Brenda! So more time to play along and more inspiration from our designers!

So for the next two weeks, Holly has an awesome sketch for us!  Love the banners! Hope you have a chance to play along.

I used various sheets from the Epic Day This and That DSP. The base of my card is Basic Gray and I layered Pool Party onto it.  I created the banners using the Crumb Cake washi tape.  The flower is from a new stamp set called Flower Shop and it has a coordinating punch!  You can purchase both as bundle and save 15%. I embossed it with our white embossing powder onto the Calypso Coral cardstock. I layered it onto Daffodil Delight and then onto the large scallop circle punch.

The sentiment "Best Day Ever" is from the This and That Rotary Stamp. Lot of options with that one!

Thanks so much for stooping by. I have some exciting personal news to share with you, just need to get it all set up in my blog post.  I'm excited to share it with you. Until next time.
