A Round Array...K is for...

Hello Stampers!  Happy Tuesday! How's your week going?  I have a new creation to share with you today.  Last night I attended our sideline Shoebox Swap.  The theme for our cards was using new stamp sets from the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.

I got the inspiration for my card from Christy Fulk, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator. She created this card using the A Round Array set and I asked her if I could CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it for my meeting.  I changed mine up a bit but similar concept.  Thanks Christy for allowing me to CASE it, I love it!

I had to create 21 of these cards. The base of the card is Pool Party layered with Basic Gray. I created another layer by using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder on Daffodil Delight with the Epic Day This and That DSP.  I love the all the colors in that collection.  The K is for Kindness sentiment is popped up with a stamping dimensional. Glad Gumball Green will still be around for another year because the 3/8 stitched satin ribbon is lovely!

Oh my gosh, did you ever see the movie, "Crazy, Stupid, Love"? I LOVE it! I can watch it over and over!  And Ryan Gosling is super hot in it! What do you think? LOL.

Anyhow, thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time.

Sunday Stamps gold!

Hello Stampers! Hope your weekend going well.  We have a great new color challenge at Sunday Stamps this week.  Gold isn't always for the winter holidays or anniversaries. This color challenge definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. Tara is our hostess this week so make sure you check out the other Design Team creations. Play along with us if you have a chance, we love to see what you create.

I used the soon to be retired Easy Events stamp set.  Such a versatile stamp set.  I also used the Pretty in Pink DSP from the Subtles color family. I embossed the happy birthday stamp with gold embossing powder onto the Pretty in Pink cardstock. I kept this card simple, converting an envelope into a pocket.

With the upcoming new Annual Catalog just weeks away, have to make room for new items. You can see the retired stamp sets list here and the retired accessories here.  You can shop my online store 24/7.

Thanks for stopping today. Until next time.

Sneak Peek...New Hostess Set

Hello Stampers!  Hope your week is going great!  I'm so excited to share with you tonight a sneak peek of an upcoming hostess stamp set, Banner Greetings. I'm going to love this set!  It'll be featured in the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog. As I have mentioned before, banners continue to be popular. When I saw this sentiment I couldn't wait to pair it with the current Make a Cake stamp set!

I saw this sketch from The Paper Players and I wanted to play along.  This is such a cute sketch! Make sure you check out the creations from the design team members. I think I will use it for other cards.

As I was creating this card I was thinking of my dear cousin Zoraima, she and her husband are expecting their second child and they are having a girl! Congrats cousin!  They currently live in Seoul but will be coming home for the summer soon. I hope she likes it.

The base of my card is Pink Pirouette and I layered it with Primose Petals. The Pretty In Pink DSP is from the Subtles paper stack. I love pairing Early Espresso with any of our pinks.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a fantastic Friday! Until next time.

Oh, Hello...Thanks so much

Good morning Stampers!  Sorry my post is up late today, was having problems with our internet during the weekend. But all is good now.  Holly is our host this week at Sunday Stamps and she has a fun sketch for us.  I had so much fun using this sketch because banners continue to be popular in paper crafting. Make sure you check out the beautiful creations from my fellow design team members to inspire you.

I love the Oh, Hello stamp set from the current Spring catalog.  I haven't been playing with it as much but now I know I will be well past May 31 (wink, wink). With the Color Refresh that Stampin' Up! introduced, Perfect Plum is now in the regals color family instead of the subtles. I paired it with Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple (2012-2014 InColor) and Very Vanilla.  I love this color combo!

I used the chevron stamp to create one of my banners. The other two were created using the subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.  I cut out the rose and popped the top part of the rose with the Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, we love to see what you create. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope your Sunday is a great one! Until next time.

Artisan Dress Up...

Hello happy stampers!  Happy Sunday to you!  We have a fun new color challenge at Sunday Stamps this week.  Hope you get a chance to play along with us.  I had to whip up this card super fast because I   was almost late with my creation for this week.  Sorry Holly. I was playing around with a new technique and I was not getting it.  Ever encounter that?  I may try it out again later this week as I think it will work great with these colors.

So this is what I came up with. Still having lots of fun with the Dress Up Framelits. I used the large oval lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kits from the Spring Catalog.  This entire kit is definitely one that once you see it in person, you want it.  Very pretty.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Sorry this is short post, it's been a very long week and a longer weekend. Until next time.

Oh, Whale...

Hello Stampers! How's your week going?  Mine is going good.  I came across another blog challenge this week that I wanted to try out.  There are so many cool ideas at the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to inspire you using these three colors.  You can check out them out here.

I had this idea in my head for awhile now and I am so excited with how it came out!!  I used the Oh, Whale! stamp set from the current spring catalog to create a penny spinner card.  Oh my goodness, the whale is super, duper cute! And when you use it with the Happy Whale clearlit die, easy!  Have you created a card using the penny spinner technique before? Using the DSP with the waves from the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP worked out perfect for my card.

The butterfly stamp from A Fitting Occasion is small and detailed enough to not overwhelm the card. I couldn't resist using the googly eyes from the past Holiday catalog. I inked the sentiment in lucky limeade.

Well I better get going friends.  Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

The Paper Players challenge...

Happy Monday stampers! Hope you had a good Sunday.  I came across a cool color challenge from The Paper Players that I wanted to try out.  Late last week I received my Stampin' Success magazine and in it I read about a cool technique that I wanted to try out.  In three easy steps you can create a cool background.

First step, you gently drag ink pads over card stock. I used baja breeze, island indigo and a little bit of crumb cake. I think it looks cool.

Second step, depending on which stamp set you use (the magazine suggested a background stamp), you ink it up and then, third step; stamp onto the decorated background.  I instead chose the sentiment from You're Amazing and inked it in rich razzleberry. I also sponged the edges with rich razzleberry. So what do you think of this technique? I like it and can't wait to try it out with other colors.

The base of my card is rich razzleberry and I layered the island indigo DSP from Summer Smooches onto the baja breeze card stock. I also layered my apothecary framelits onto crumb cake card stock.

So make sure you check out the other creations at The Paper Players blog, lots of inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by.  Hope your Monday is great. Until next time.
