New Nacho Sketch!

Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your week is going well!  I'm back today with a new sketch challenge with my fellow Nachos. Thanks to all of you who are playing along with us, we love to see your creations! Make sure you come check us out.

The sketch inspired me to create a Halloween card. I inked up the largest stamp from the Layered Labels stamp set onto Basic Black and embossed it with white embossing powder. I also used a strip of washi tape from the Witches' Brew Designer pack to create a rosette.  This is a fun sketch, I know I will be using it again!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Tag It, Celebrate!

Happy Sunday Stampers!  Hope your day is going well.  We got lots of rain today, which is a nice change of weather!

We have a fun new sketch for you at Sunday Stamps starting today.  Thank to all of you who play with us, we love seeing your creations. My fellow designers have once again created beautiful creations. Hope you will play along with us.

This color combo put me in a festive mood! I chose Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry. I hope Daffodil Delight doesn't get mad, but I'm crushing on Crushed Curry right now, lol! I used the coordinating markers to ink up the Tag It stamp set. I used the large scallop edgeless with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to create my border in Crushed Curry. So would say this little creature is a lizard or a gecko? I don't know, but he or she is super cute! I couldn't resist using one of the googly eyes from  previous catalogs. I also couldn't resist using a strip of DSP from the Eastern Elegance DSP.

Well, that's all for now my friends!  Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a wonderful week.

New Sneak Peek-2013 Holiday Catalog, Halloween Bash

Hello Stampers! Happy Monday. Thank you all for your get well wishes, feeling much better!  I took some time to play with some new items from our upcoming new Holiday Catalog.  I love being able to preorder new products ahead of schedule.  The new holiday catalog will go live on August 1st.  With all the wonderful new things from the new Annual Catalog, on top of the upcoming Holiday Catalog, it's a great time to be creative and get crafty.

I'm participating in another organized swap with a fellow demo from Stampin' Connection and as I was looking for inspiration, I came across the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches blog. You can check out the beautiful creations from the Design Team here.

The new stamp set I used is called Halloween Bash. It's a set of five stamps that coordinate with several punches; the decorative label, large oval, scallop oval and the ticket builder duo builder. It also coordinates with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies.

The other new item from the upcoming catalog is the Witches' Brew Designer Washi Tape! Once I started playing with it, I realized I gotta buy more of it.  It is so much fun to use!  I used it to create a halloween theme cake, hence the sentiment is perfect for it! The cake stand is from Make a Cake. The topper is a black rose created with the 7/8 scallop punch.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great day!  Until next time.

Flower Shop Swap

Hello Stampers!  I have another creation to share with you from the organized swap I participated in. For this card, I used the new Flower Shop stamp set and the coordinating Pansy punch. I love it when our Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well.

For this card I used one of the first techniques I learned when I first started stamping, "stamping off". I inked up the flower with the new In-Color Strawberry Slush, which once I paired it with Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray, it was a cool color combo. Anyhow, once you ink up your stamp, you "stamp off" getting different shades of the ink. Strawberry Slush is a new fave color of mine. The new Ruffle Stretch Trim is so much prettier in person! I love it.  It layered so perfect beneath the apothecary accents frame lit. You know how much I love to use our paper piercing templates! I punched out one of the flowers with the Pansy punch and used two dimensionals to pop it up. Using the Boho Blossoms punch, I punched out a small scallop circle using the Polka Dot Parade DSP in Daffodil Delight. I finished it off with a pearl basic jewel. The thinking of you sentiment is from Sassy Salutations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a super cool Saturday! Until next time.

More Sneak Peeks...

Hello Stampers.  Happy Monday. If you have the day off today for Memorial Day, hope you are having a great Monday. I spent part of the weekend working on some swaps for my sideline group.  We were to use new stamp sets from the upcoming 2013-2014 Annual Catalog so I have some sneak peeks for you today.

For the first card, I used a new background stamp set called Wildflower Meadow, which is gorgeous!  And it coordinates with an embossing folder also called Wildflower Meadow. Such a great combination! I didn't use the entire background, just part of it.  Can you see the embossed part of the card? Isn't cool! So many possibilities with this combo.

My color combo for this card was Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black. I layered the Melon Mambo with the Pumpkin Pie Polka Dot DSP. I also used a new Hostess stamp set called Banner Greetings. I know it will get used a lot. The sentiment reads "Thankful for you". A little bling on the flowers adds a nice touch.

This card is very different from the other one, but I love the simplicity of it. I wanted the banners to be the focus of the card. I paired Banner Greetings with the Hearts of Flutter banner stamp set. So happy this stamp set is still in the new catalog! I used the similar color combo from the card above, except I added Pacific Point.

Two different cards using similar color combo with new stamp sets. Did I tell you the new Annual Catalog goes live next Friday, May 31st at Noon (MT). I can't wait! Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time.

The Paper Players challenge...

Happy Monday stampers! Hope you had a good Sunday.  I came across a cool color challenge from The Paper Players that I wanted to try out.  Late last week I received my Stampin' Success magazine and in it I read about a cool technique that I wanted to try out.  In three easy steps you can create a cool background.

First step, you gently drag ink pads over card stock. I used baja breeze, island indigo and a little bit of crumb cake. I think it looks cool.

Second step, depending on which stamp set you use (the magazine suggested a background stamp), you ink it up and then, third step; stamp onto the decorated background.  I instead chose the sentiment from You're Amazing and inked it in rich razzleberry. I also sponged the edges with rich razzleberry. So what do you think of this technique? I like it and can't wait to try it out with other colors.

The base of my card is rich razzleberry and I layered the island indigo DSP from Summer Smooches onto the baja breeze card stock. I also layered my apothecary framelits onto crumb cake card stock.

So make sure you check out the other creations at The Paper Players blog, lots of inspiration. Thanks again for stopping by.  Hope your Monday is great. Until next time.

Dynamic Duos Challenge #39

Hello Stampers!   Hope your week is going well!  I made some time tonight to create a card for the Dynamic Duos Blog Challenge.  I hadn't a chance to play along with their challenges until now. It's amazing how using two colors can be so inspiring.  Check out the other creations here.

I kept my design simple.  Can you guess which items I used again on my card?  The stamp set "For the Birds" is such a fun set. The base of the card is very vanilla. I paper pierced the mail box with pool party dsp. The cute buttons on my card, those are the exclusive SAB buttons only available until March 22.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Until next time.
