Nacho Dahlias

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! We have a fun new Nacho sketch to inspire you this week. Hopefully it will inspire you to create with us. Make sure you check out our blog for more inspiration with this sketch.

I also was inspired by the color combo over at Create with Connie and Mary. Yellow and Black are two of my favorite combos.

Here is how I combined both challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great week.

Sketch Frenzy Friday Swap!

Hello Stampers!  Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already!  Don't get me wrong, I'm happy it is!  It's been a long work week for me! I'm looking forward to the weekend!

I have another swap to share with you today!  This one is the one I created for our swap with Diana Gibbs and Rhonda Morgan. We had to make 20 swaps and the theme was feminine.

The Designers at Sketch Frenzy Friday have a great sketch that really caught my eye and I decided to play along with them this week.

Here is my take on their sketch:

With all our DSP retiring to make room for all the new DSP, I decided to make my own. I was so happy when I saw that the Hardwood Background stamp is in the new catalog! Actually, all the stamp sets and accessories I used on this card are in the new catalog! Whew!

I stamped the Hardwood stamp with VersaMark onto Sahara Sand card stock, to create a subtle background. The Regarding Dahlia is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. My color scheme for this card is Rich Razzleberry, Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. Do you think this is a feminine card?

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a fabulous Friday and a super weekend!  Come back on Sunday when I share my creation for our new Sunday Stamps color challenge.

Nacho...Create with Connie & Mary

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  We have a fun new sketch for you today at Nacho Average Challenges, we hope it will inspire you to create with us this week.

I also used the current color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary, they always have great color combos and sketches.

This is the end result of combining both challenges:

I was really excited when I saw our sketch for this week and even more so when I realized the Top Note Bigz Die isn't retiring! I've been neglecting this die and I don't know why. I embossed the Regarding Dahlia with white embossing powder onto the watercolor paper. I colored the flowers with our blender pens. Sad to see Hello, Lovely retire, but I think I will keep it in my stash.

Come back tomorrow when I share the swap I made for the Stampin' Up! catalog premier party I went to yesterday! It was so much fun and exciting! Thanks for stopping by today, until next time!

Regarding...Nacho...Dahlias

Happy Nacho Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well so far!

We have a new color challenge for you to play along with the Nachos this week. Now, if you don't know, Melon Mambo is one of my favorite colors! Pairing it with Early Espresso and Marina Mist is gorgeous!  Oh my goodness, I'll be using this combo more often.  I hope it inspires you to join us, can't wait to see what you create!

I also followed the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch as I love the banners! Told 'ya I still love banners! Love the final result of this card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time.

Magical Regarding Dahlias

Happy Wednesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well.  I'm back today with another creation to share with you, using once again the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and the Magical Masking technique. Told you I would use this technique again. Have you tried it yet?

I used the sketch from Fab Friday and the current color scheme from The Dynamic Duos for my creation. I also decorated the inside of my card with the sentiment.

It's hard to see in the photo but I sprayed the flower with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, love that stuff! I also stamped the dahlia with VersaMark onto the top left and bottom right corners of the Blushing Bride card stock.

Here is another photo of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

Nacho Tuesday

Happy Nacho Tuesday friends! We have a fun new sketch for you to play along with us.  Come check us out and hope it will inspire you to create!

This week will also be a month since I've been designing for the Nacho Average Blog Challenge. I've been having fun and I'm honored to be designing with such talented women!

I have to share with you my "nacho cheese" story.  Amongst my friends I'm known as a nacho cheese snob, in a good way. You see I love eating nachos.  BUT, I'm particular about which nacho cheese I eat.  Right now, my favorite is this one. So when friends make nachos, I always ask, "which nacho cheese did you use", lol. If it's not this one, I won't eat them.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time.

New Sunday Stamps Sketch

Hello Stampers!  So sorry my post for our Sunday Stamps challenge is late but here it is.  I've been sick with a viral infection that I thought was just a minor cold since last week but it turned into something worst. It's caused my blood pressure to get out of whack, so doctor's orders, resting is in place for me.

My fellow designers have created some awesome creations to inspire you again, so please check them out here. This week we have a cool sketch and we hope you will come and play along with us.

As I was creating my card for the challenge it went a different way, instead of banners I used a tea lace paper doilie in the corner. The color combo for my card is Raspberry Ripple, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Basic Black. The rest of the card is simple.

Thanks for stopping by, until next time. Send me good vibes to get well soon. Thanks friends.

TGIF!

Hello Stampers! Hope your Friday is going well.  I can't believe we are already into the month of July! We must be having lots of fun as the time is flying by.  I recently participated in an organized swap that a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator organized through our exclusive online group-Stampin' Connection. All the participants were to use a new stamp set from the annual catalog.  When I first saw this stamp set, Regarding Dahlias I knew I would be adding it to my collection.

My color combo for this card is Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White. The dahlia is such a bold image that I kept my card simple. I used the needlepoint embossing folder to add some detail to the sentiment. Easy peasy!

My sweet Azul had to have surgery on his ear this past Wednesday, somehow something got inside his ear and it got really swollen. When I took him to the vet to get checked out, I got lucky and snapped this great photo of him. He was my back seat driver for the day, lol.  The surgery went well, he just hates wearing a cone so he won't scratch his ear.  Recovery time is two weeks and he has his check up next Saturday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope your Friday is awesome!  Until next time.

Nacho Average...Dahlias

Hello Stampers! So happy that our internet is back on and operating correctly! Yay!  Didn't realize how disconnected I was feeling by not having access to the internet.

So today I have some new creations to share with you.  I came across the beautiful color challenge from Nacho Average and I fell in love with it! I think I've shared that Melon Mambo is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors and my reintroduction to Bermuda Bay is going well.  What an awesome blue. I has so much fun playing with this color combo that I made two cards with it.  I know I'll be saving this combo for future cards.

On both cards I used a technique called Faux Tearing (I think) and it is such a fun technique.  On this card, I sponged the Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay.  I then stamped the new stamp set Regarding Dahlias onto it.  I really love the way it came out.  I kept it simple by not adding too many layers. The base of the card is Pool Party since the two colors are bright, which I love. I also sprayed the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz onto the sponged colors.

So same technique on this card, but changed the base of the card to Melon Mambo. I layered Pool Party onto the Melon Mambo. The sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time. Have a great Friday!
