Feliz...Freshly Made Sketches

Happy Monday Stampers! How was your Sunday? I spent it multi-tasking; doing laundry, creating, cleaning, catching up on episodes of Once Upon a Time. Love that show! Hope your week is off to a great start! I'm glad it's March! March always makes me think of Spring and my upcoming Birthday.

There's a fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and I wanted to play along before the link closes. I don't get a chance to play along with them often enough.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Not sure why my photo editing turned my white background somewhat blue...sorry about that.  As a bilingual Stampin' Up! demonstrator I realize that I don't create many cards in Spanish that often, not sure why. I'm fortunate that Stampin' Up! offers several stamps not only in Spanish but other languages. I used the Spanish version of My Mother, Mi Madre. I plan on making several cards using this stamp set, not only for my mother, but for my aunts, my grandmother and friends.

Thanks for stopping by today friends, until next time! Hasta luego!

Fab Sunday!

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well.  There is still time for you to play along with us at Sunday Stamps with the great sketch that Marie designed for us. Have you seen all the wonderful entries with this sketch? Come check it out! You have until this Friday, March 7th at 6 pm EST.

The designers over at Fab Friday are featuring my favorite color combo right and I couldn't resist playing along. Hope you're not getting tired of me using these colors. So much inspiration from the Design Team. Check them out also!

Here is what I created combining both challenges:

I created my own background paper using the technique called Joseph's Coat! So much fun but messy, which is fine with me, makes me feel more artistic, lol.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

Petal Parade...

Psst...hi Stampers! Hope your day is going well! So...our internet at home is acting up again so I'm blogging from my "other job" and I feel like I have to sneak off to blog, lol.  My post will be quick today in case my boss is looking for me! :) Wouldn't that be funny!

I have a new creation to share with you today, I came across it at the Unscripted Sketches blog, which you can check out here. This is my first time playing along with them, but I'm sure I'll be playing along again.

Here is my take on the sketch, this is the front of the card. I combined two stamp sets for the flower, Petal Parade and Best of Sale-a-Bration. Really like how the center came out.

I also decorated the inside of my card, following the sketch. I didn't include a sentiment because I wasn't sure what to include, so I figure, don't have to include it now.  When I'm ready to give this card away I can decide then what sentiment to include. What about you, do you ever create cards with no sentiments?

Another take my card, showing both the front and inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time! :)

Sunday Stamps Spring!

Well hello Stampers! Oh my goodness I have you missed creating with my fellow Sunday Stamps Designers and You! Better late than never, especially since our current challenge at Sunday Stamps runs until this Friday, February 21st at 6 pm EST. We hope you will join us.

Here is my creation using Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Gumball Green. This color combo is perfect for spring projects. The stamp set is Petal Parade and it's one of the free sets you can earn for free with a $50 purchase. I also used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch from the Occasions catalog to create this fun closure on my card. I learned how to create the closure from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Dee Slater.

The sentiment on the inside is from the set Yippee-Skipee! and it's crooked, oh well, it's a handmade card.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.
