Another Something for Baby...

Good morning Stampers! Hope your week is going well.  It's been a hot week in Phoenix!  Staying indoors spending time creating is the how I'm having fun this week.

This past Monday night we had our group meeting with Rhonda Morgan and her INKin' All Night group.  It was a small gathering but it is always fun! The theme for our swap cards was Babies and Wedding and I chose to make another baby card.  I hope you're not getting tired of seeing baby cards with the Something for Baby stamp set and the coordinating framelits! This is such a fun bundle! I'm thinking of hosting a class with this bundle, so I'll keep you posted on it.

I did follow the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments although I did not link up in time. I really like this sketch and will be using it to create other cards. Hopefully next time I play along with them I'll link up my card in time!

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time my friends!

More Nacho Baby!

Hello Stampers! It's Tuesday, so that means it's another Nacho Average Challenge! My fellow Nachos and I have created a variety of projects with our color challenge. We hope it will inspire you to create with us!

I wanted to create something other than a card this week, so I decorated one of our mini muslin bag. I got a bit of halo effect when I stamped the flower onto the bag, but it has that handmade look, no?

Thanks for stopping by today, until next time!

Green...confusion

Happy Tuesday Stampers! We have a new Nacho Average color challenge for you starting today! We hope you come and check us out and get inspired to join us. We love to see how you use the color combo.

Here is how I used the colors for this week's challenge:

But I have a disclaimer, the green isn't Pear Pizzazz, it's actually Pistachio Pudding. I swore when I looked at this week's color challenge that Pistachio Pudding was the green we were to use, but that wasn't the case. Oh well, at least it's in the green color family, no?

I was inspired by the sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday, really like the clean layout of the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.

Happy Birthday Holly E.

Hello Stampers!  Hope your week is going well. Happy Wednesday to all of you. Hope your week is going well.

Today I want to do a big birthday shot out to Holly E. who's birthday is this month! Happy Birthday!! While I've never met Holly in person, she is awesome paper crafter and designer!  Plus she is the creator of various blog challenges!  Hope you have a wonderful birthday month Holly!

So, when I saw the challenge at Friday Mashup! I knew I couldn't miss the opportunity to play along. Holly is hosting this week's challenge.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with "Twine."
  2. Create a "Birthday Themed" project.
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "Birthday Project with some Twine."

I also used the sketch that Mary Jo created from Techno Stamper. This is a fun sketch and I think I'll be using again.
Here is what I created for both challenges:

I still have a lot of Pool Party bakers twine and I figured this was a perfect project to use it on.  It worked out well for me to create two coordinating projects. Hope you like them Holly!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time.

Thanks much.

Hello Stampers! Hope your Labor Day weekend is going well.  If you are off work today, hope you are enjoying it.  I'm back today with another creation for the Freshly Made Sketches blog.  It's a sketch with banners!  So much inspiration from this one sketch.  Make sure to check out their blog here.

I was inspired to ink up my Papillion Potpourri stamp set for this sketch.  I chose a color combo from our Color Coach; Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana. The DSP is Eastern Elegance.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time.

Crushed curry flowers...

Greetings fellow stampers!  Thanks for stopping by today, I'm hosting my first sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps this week. With spring in the air, my inspiration for my sketch was a flower planter. Although I sometimes joke that Phoenix only has two seasons, summer and hotter summer, lol.  It's been a warmer than usual weekend. Anyhow, as I mentioned last Sunday, Stampin' Up! is under going a color refresh by introducing 10 colors, some former InColors and a new color. That's on top of the five new InColors that will be introduced with the new catalog! Still with me? Okay, so I happen to still have my classic ink pads for several former InColors, which I was jumping for joy!

The flowers from the Button Buddies stamp set were inked in crushed curry. I love this color! It's a richer, bold yellow.  It might make me crave thai food more, pad thai anyone? The ribbon is retired from several catalogs ago but it worked out perfect for my card today. I used our early espresso designer buttons.

The butterfly is inked in bermuda bay, another returning InColor from past catalogs. Bermuda bay is a cooler blue, does the name take you away on vacation? I love the clever names Stampin' Up! has for our colors.

So here is our sketch for this week. Make sure you check out the creations from my fellow designers here and I hope you play along with us. We love to see what you create. You have until Friday, April 19th at 6 pm to link up your project.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful Sunday!  Until next time.

Chalkboard Sunday Stamps

Hello Stampers!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  We have been having a lot of fun!  The weather is beautiful in Phoenix!

Thank you all for your wonderful wishes and comments during my first week as a designer on Sunday Stamps.  I'm having fun!  We have a fun sketch for you at Sunday Stamps this week and Tara is our host! Have you tried out the chalkboard technique?  I have seen several cards using this awesome technique and I wanted to try it out for the sketch.  I used colors to match the colors in my craft room as I will be displaying.

Hope you come out and play with us this week!  Come check us out here.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Quint-Essential Thank You

Good morning friends!  Morning?  Yup, I decided to blog early today before the day gets away from me with chores and other things.  Before I forget, go and check out the Stampin' Up! Clearance rack, over 70 items were just added so if there is something you want, get it quick before it's too late!  I'm hoping to get some magnet sheets! You can shop directly from my online store here.

I still have a few more swaps to show you from the big all catalog swap. I really like the colors for this swap, I used Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade.  I used the stamp set quint-essential flower.  I really like the stamp because it also coordinates with five of our punches; 2 3/8 scallop circle, 1 3/4 scallop circle, 1 inch circle, 3/4 circle and 1/2 circle.  The possibilities are endless!  I only used two punches in this card.  Using our itty bitty banners and coordinating stamp set is awesome.  Coordinating products just makes it so much easier for me to create.  The colors were recommended from our Color-Coach so how easy is that!  The fancy fan embossing folder also creates a nice background.

I also wanted to show you this card today as a quick thank you to all of you who are visiting my blog and leaving comments, THANK YOU!  I'm enjoying reading your comments and having fun sharing my creations with you all.  So thank you for allowing me to share my "stamping" "creations" and "life/vida" with you; hence my tagline, stamp-create-vida.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  If I have a chance, I'll be back tomorrow with something new to share.  Hope YOU create something beautiful this weekend.

A Fitting Occasion...Happy Birthday

Greetings fellow stampers! What a day, my "other" job was stressful today, good thing, Lord willing, I get a chance for a do-over tomorrow.  When I have a stressful day I relax by creating something.  I completed a card for a blog challenge that I'll show you tomorrow.  This is another card...did you guess...lol...for another swap I made! Given how today was, the bright colors really cheered me up! Melon Mambo from the Brights family color is one of my favorites! Of course when I say it, I feel like shouting Melon "MAMBO" like Perez Prado and then do a little mambo dance, whatever makes us happy right! But seriously, with the four color families, plus the in-colors that Stampin' Up! has, the Brights has always been my favorite! With this card I used, pacific point, melon mambo (MAMBO), daffodil delight and whisper white.  The stamp set I used is called "A Fitting Occasion" and it is such a neat set! I earned this stamp set for free based off my sales during Sale-A-Bration. It also coordinates with several of our punches. I love it when our stamp sets coordinate with a punch, framelit or die. I also used the new chevron embossing folder and the Itty Bitty stamp set with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  Gotta love products that coordinate! And it's fitting that I have this card made because tomorrow is my younger sister's birthday, so now I have a handmade card to send her, yay!

Well friends, I better call it a night. Come back tomorrow when I show you the card I made for a blog challenge.  Have a good night!

Make a Cake

Hello stampers! Hope you all had a great weekend! Saturday was a lot of fun! I'll tell you more in a bit, but first things first, showing you another card I made for the all catalog swap. Remember, I joined 12 groups, over 200 cards made.  This card uses the "Make a Cake" stamp set along with the "Itty Bitty Banners" along with the bitty banners framelits dies. When I was first deciding on how to create this card, I used my Color Coach to figure out what colors go well with the one of the new In-Colors, Primrose Petals. The coordinating color is Pink Pirouette, along with Crumb Cake. I also used one of the sheets from the Patio Party dsp and the new fancy fan embossing folder.  I really like our paper piecer, it's so easy to use and adds a nice touch.

So this Saturday, we attended and participated in our first Tour de Fat bike event.  It was held in Tempe, at the Tempe Beach Park. This was the 7th Annual Event. We took our bikes and rode in the bike parade, which was a 3 mile ride.  Afterwards, everyone gathered at Tempe Beach Park to listen to bands, played various bike games and just enjoyed the awesome weather. Just a bit history on the logo on our shirts, the logo was called "Tico" and it was used on our public buses. It was a bright smiling sun with a sombero. Our t-shirts were a vintage throw-back to different times in Phoenix. If you're from Phoenix and took public transportation, do you remember Tico? Overall, it was a great event and we're already looking forward to next year.

So this week I'll be showing you more card swaps.  I also be participating in a couple of blog challenges. Thanks for stopping by.
