Hello fellow stampers! Happy Wednesday to you. It's been a busy week for me at my "other" job so I've been relaxing by creating. You ever do that? It's good for me to use the other part of my brain. I was inspired by two blog challenges; the
Dynamic Duos with their current color challenge (Crumb Cake & Basic Black) and the
Techno Stamper with a sketch challenge. A Perfect Blend of challenges. :)
Perfect Blend is turning out to be one of my new favorite stamp sets to play with. It's a fun set to paper piece with and create a 3D effect. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but I used the crayon resist technique on the edges of my cup, using a white crayon, then sponging with Crumb Cake onto the cup. It's a nice subtle effect. The Dynamic Duos challenge also had an option to use wet embossing and I used clear embossing powder on the lid and white embossing powder on the sentiment. I really like the designs in the Season of Style DSP Stack from the current Holiday catalog because you can use the patterns for everyday cards, not just holidays. What do you think?
Here's a closer photo of the coffee cup. You can see the white edges on the cup and the embossed lid better.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Until next time.
